Job Overview:
The Manager, Reconciliations will be fully responsible for all end-to-end clinic bank and accounts receivable reconciliation processes for 123Dentist. You will also be responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements, and managing a high performing team, including assessing workloads and performance, and providing development, training and direct guidance. This role also supports the Senior Manager, Associate Fees & Reconciliations and others for year-end audit and other tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for reviewing/approving and ensuring proper timely reconciliation of all clinic bank and accounts receivable reconciliations using Blackline.
Manage and regulate the team to ensure deadlines are accurately and efficiently met, for all functions within the group
Provide and collaborate with others to train, guide, assess and set individual and group goals to improve the overall effectiveness of the team
Regularly review and track bank and accounts receivable reconciliations performed by the team, ensuring backlogs and issues are proactively addressed, minimised, and communicated to senior management in a timely manner
Responsible for driving resolution of all accounts receivable open items, and recommending and assessing clinic adjustments and write-off processes
Develop, implement and support strategic company wide policies and processes with respect to areas of responsibility, such as clinic PMS rules, reconciliation and usage, and collections deposit frequency and application procedures.
Work closely with the Central Operations team, and clinics to support change management initiatives and communications between the team and the business
Work with the Business Intelligence team to ensure all data such as procedure codes are properly mapped prior to and during month-ends
Liaise with respective departments and teams in support of new dental practice onboardings with respect to setups and reconciliation readiness
Work with external audit team for accounts receivable reconciliation requests, ensuring submission of high-quality explanations with complete backups
Education, Credentials, Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance, CPA designation desirable, but not mandatory
5+ years of experience working in relevant accounting roles
3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
Required Skills & Abilities
No less than 2 years experience successfully working directly in Blackline including at a 'Reviewer' level or higher
Excellent Blackline knowledge including process, troubleshooting and resolution
Significant accounts reconciliation experience, including demonstrated problem solving and process improvements via change management of inputs processes
Experience successfully supporting a disaggregated service organization, using inconsistent data flows, rules and processes
High level of attention to detail and the ability to handle, prioritize and where necessary delegate multiple tasks and issues
Ability to balance conflicting responsibilities and priorities while meeting deadlines
Capable of managing a heavy workload, and leading teams in stressful situations
Must be able to analyze, understand and effectively communicate complex financial concepts and information to a diverse range of stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including with building rapport
Excellent analytical skills combined with a practical, quantifiable, and structured
Approach to problem-solving
Strong engaged customer service & support mindset, and dealing with and managing people ethically, honestly and with integrity
Plan for and implement staff changes, including hiring & performance management
Ability to think and contribute creatively and critically in a fast-paced, positive, progressive and supportive work environment
Strong knowledge of MS Excel, including prior experience in use of vlookups, pivot tables, advanced formulas, filtering and organizing large volume of data
Knowledge of various Practice Management Software (PMS) would be beneficial
Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI would be beneficial
