The Manager, Project Reporting & Analysis is accountable for leading, brainstorm, and provide strategic advice on overall development of dashboards and reporting mechanisms to support Project/Portfolio Delivery and technology establishing reporting with an understanding of organizational business metrics and processes. This role will serve as subject matter advisor on reporting, providing recommendations to improve or transform reporting processes to gain efficiencies. This role will also provide information for decision support, process improvements and reporting automation across organizational functions leveraging latest tools. Will be responsible for managing the process of producing dashboards to ensure they are accurate, consistent, and comparable.

This role will coordinate status reports, communication and deliverables for projects, maintain a high level of business knowledge, financial acumen and an understanding of project management principles and methodology, support the development of internal standards and procedures, and support the development of communication, implementation and/or training plans to support the implementation of projects and/or business initiatives.This position is proficient in rolling up information relevant to the audience, bring the right message for leadership and equally comfortable shifting to a hands-on collaborative approach with working teams to solicit information relevant to the initiative.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • The Manager, Project Reporting & Analysis is accountable for the overall design, development and implementation of reporting and dashboards for projects/portfolio and technology operational KPIs/metrics.
  • Develops and supports operational activities incumbent for project management office mandate mechanism of high-Level Project/Program Roadmap which takes into consideration business priorities, project sequence, and interdependencies between initiatives, Program-Level Governance such that the Project/Program is delivered with quality in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Champion and implement processes that support activities related to project management using various tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
  • Manage and facilitate stakeholders to effectively contribute towards reporting requirements and cadences to ensure timely delivery
  • Strong content creation, business writing and presentation skills, that are concise and clear to convey messages to all audiences.
  • Engaging and collaborating with control functions and business units as appropriate and work with external partners (Scotiabank, vendors, audit, regulators, etc.) where needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders from IT and Business areas.

Education/Experience
o 3-5 years of relevant experience in business and financial reporting for technology and business functions

Technical Skills
o Advanced reporting skills leveraging latest reporting tools like MS SQL, Tableau, Data Studio.
o Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
o Working knowledge of delivery tools for effective workflow visualization and management (Jira, Confluence, Service Now etc)

Abilities
o Proactively set and manage stakeholder expectations around reporting requirements and cadences
o Solid Analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to communicate at levels with all key organizational partners
o Good facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills.
o A self-managed professional with the ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives under a minimal amount of supervision
