Job Summary:



The Manager of Pre and Postnatal Services oversees the day-to-day operations of BFL's Pregnancy Outreach, Baby & Me and Young Parent Programs, inclusive of child-minding supports. Responsible for providing leadership to the program teams, coordination of program delivery and liaises with other agency programs and different community stakeholders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:



Lead daily operations of pre and postnatal programs, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Supervise staff, volunteers, and practicum students; provide ongoing performance monitoring and support. Manage staffing levels, schedules, recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training processes. Ensure program compliance with agency policies, legal standards, contracts, and accreditation requirements. Contribute to short- and long-term program planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Foster positive team dynamics and maintain effective partnerships with community stakeholders. Monitor and manage program supplies, equipment, and physical site safety. Prepare reports for funders and management; oversee documentation and maintain client confidentiality standards. Ensure up-to-date program content on maternal and infant health, nutrition, and community resources. Oversee accurate and ethical client file management in accordance with agency policies. Participate in agency management meetings, advisory committees, and relevant community organizations. Support budgeting, approve minor purchases, and contribute to financial planning. Develop and maintain collaborative community partnerships. Represent the organization at community, fundraising, and official events as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Skills and Abilities:



Demonstrated ability to work in community-based environment providing service to individuals who have social/lifestyle risks and/or other related experience with "at risk" populations. Demonstrated knowledge of community resources. Excellent interpersonal behaviour, communication (verbal and written) and facilitation skills. Demonstrated teamwork, leadership and supervisory skills. Well-developed budgeting, planning, organizing, controlling, administrative skills and ability to function independently. Exceptional time, organizational and self-management skills. Ability to work effectively with program staff, volunteers, and not-for-profit or publicly funded groups, agencies, organizations and government officials. Demonstrated ability in dealing with conflict, problem solving and ability to manage high stress situations.

Education, Training and Experience:



A degree or certificate in sociology, psychology or social work or another relevant human services field. Three to five years of experience, preferably in the community social services or health services sector.

Valid Driver's License and available vehicle Valid Driver's Abstract No relevant criminal record May be required to participate in work-related activities outside regular hours ofoperation.

Hours:

7 hours daily, for a total of 35 hours weekly

Wage

: $34.54 - $37.71 based on education and experience

Benefits:

Eligibility for group benefits after probation period

TBD- minimum 12 months, with possible extension up to 18 months. This is a leave contract position
