The
Manager Infrastructure and Network Services
position is a key leadership position within Technology Services department. This position reports to the Director of Technology Services and is also accountable to Product/Service Owner(s), Service Leader(s) and stakeholders within the organization.
The Manager of Infrastructure Services role is accountable for the delivery, maintenance, and operations of technical infrastructure systems in alignment with the business objectives and established Service Level Agreements. This includes but is not limited to enterprise storage, server hardware, datacenter infrastructure, branch servers, Network and SDWAN.
As a senior member of the Information Services department, reporting to the Director of Technology Services, the incumbent's major areas of responsibility include
The Manager of Infrastructure Services is responsible for the planning, budgeting, sourcing, implementation and 7x24 operations of infrastructure and network technology in order to meet business needs, as defined and measured by service level agreements. The incumbent is also responsible for Enterprise Agreements and renewals with major Technology vendors (Microsoft, Nutanix, HP, Cisco, Palo Alto, F5 etc.) and ensuring effective and efficient use of such technology investments.
Multi-year budgeting and planning of infrastructure technology
Evaluation of infrastructure vendor and sourcing options
Management of infrastructure technology vendors
Approval and/or authorization of infrastructure changes
Leadership and management of service teams
Problem Management
Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing
Act as a Major Incident Outage Manager as needed.
What you bring:
At least 15 years of proven experience working with Information Technology in a corporate multi-platform, multi-vendor environment.
Minimum of five years management experience and five years total experience in managing technology in three or more of the following areas: Datacenter Server Hardware, Cisco Networking, Nutanix HCI, SAN, Disaster recovery / continuity management, ITIL process management.
Have a solid understanding of the architecture, design, implementation and management of all aspects of Virtual Infrastructure technology with a focus on information security.
Familiarity of Nutanix HCI and Prism an asset
Solid understanding of Networking and SDWAN.
Familiarity with Data Backup, retention and Disaster Recovery principles is an asset
Knowledge of networking, hardware, software, desktop, Microsoft Office, and excellent knowledge of information systems and security.
Excellent understanding of IP networking, network security firewalls, and load balancing
Technical prowess to manage high-performing teams and ensure delivery excellence
Excellent understanding of DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies
Possess strong active listening and needs analysis skills
Financial sector experience (preferably in banking) is an asset
Licenses/Certificates:
Technical Certification is considered an asset.
MCSE, MCP
Cisco certifications
ITIL v3/v4 Foundations Certification and other specializations
Education and Training:
Post- secondary education in computer technology or IT related discipline from an accredited institution
