Department Overview

TD Merchant Solutions (TDMS) is a division of TD Bank Group and has been providing merchants with a full range of payment processing services and solutions since the initiation of the Canadian credit and debit card marketplace in 1968. As a trusted business partner, TDMS offers a full range of payment processing solutions and payment innovation for all types of businesses, including some of Canada\'s largest retailers. TDMS is the only merchant acquirer that is part of a major Schedule A Canadian bank that issues debit and credit cards, provides business financing to merchants, and operates a merchant acquiring business. At TDMS, we see all sides of the electronic payments business. TD\'s leadership in this area makes us uniquely qualified to assist merchants of all sizes and across all segments.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of Merchant Solutions or Acquiring industry, products, business strategies, processes, systems would be considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to build effective go to market and business strategies with experience in leading to execution.
  • Proven time management skills - ability to deliver work and manage multiple tasks under aggressive timelines in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent organization skills, problem solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing strategic and tactical deliverables.
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, presentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise summaries to senior management.

Job Details

The TDMS Strategic Partnerships Team builds referral relationships and integrations with third party software vendors (ISV\'s), gateways and value add companies who offer product and services to our mutual merchants.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships. The successful candidate will be primarily accountable for the implementation, commercialization, and delivery of key strategic referral partnerships.

Areas of accountability include:
  • Product owner that will be accountable for the implementation and commercialization of new ISV\'s Partner Product Offering for small and medium size businesses.
  • Design, own and execute a go-to-market strategy that will include partnering closely with TD Merchant Solutions Acquisition Teams and the broader business banking distribution teams.
  • Create and maintain requirements, templates, training, and work with both internal and external teams to implement the product offering into TDMS and TD Business Banking teams.
  • Post Launch responsibility including key relationship management (include QBR\'s), growing, and evolving the referral partners product offering, including identifying and adding additional features and functionalities to the solution.
  • Build and own ongoing OKR\'s and KPI\'s in relation to the key partners
  • Maintain and Develop Technical Knowledge of the TDMS Product, integration, and solution options
  • Execute, monitor, and collect data on campaigns in collaboration with the key referral partners
  • Develop and manage marketing material and digital content in relation to the key referral partners
