We currently have a Regular Full Time opportunity for a Manager, OR ClinicalSupport and Health Information Management in the Operating Room at our Bayview Campus.

Hours of Work:

Weekdays: Days, 8hrs

Weekends: As per schedule

On call required; Statutory Holidays required

Summary of Duties

Reporting to the Director of Operations for OR & Related Services, this manager in this role will work closely with key stakeholders to identify and drive opportunities to maximize and promote an integrated care delivery model for OR & Related Services

  • To work collaboratively with OR and Related Services Managers, Physicians, Chiefs of Surgery and Anesthesia, Decision Support,PICIS, and other stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and supports for PICIS OR Management System functions, OR Data Center, Same Day Surgery registration, PAC bookings and other OR support areas as required
  • Work closely with Decision Support to help drive decision and reporting through data extraction, advanced analytics, and key metrics
  • Conduct research and advice on indicators and benchmarks to develop efficiency targets for quarterly/semi-annual program review
  • Present monthly benchmarks data to OR Executive, OR Management team and Senior Leadership
  • Play a significant role in ensuring that the overall surgical booking requirements are met in accordance with the OR Booking Policy
  • Apply critical thinking, knowledge of the OR booking policy and booking grid to schedule and assign the daily surgical bookings
  • Have excellent leadership experience and ability to lead by example, coach, team building, performance management, and conflict management
  • Have knowledge Excel, Power BI and other analytic tools or software programs
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse group
  • Display demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment while maintain respectful interpersonal relations.
Qualifications/Skills
  • A Master's degree in Clinical/Health sciences or Management preferred, a Bachelor's degree required
  • Regulated Health Professional required, in good standing with associated regulatory body
  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience required, surgical services preferred
  • Strong background in digital health and data management
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to be self-directed required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet demands under tight timelines
  • Multi-tasker with a solid sense of prioritization; problem solver, confident in dealing with operations
