Join the TELUS Network Engineering & Operations team
Our team is the lifeline of TELUS\xe2\x80\x99 wireline technology operations. Responsible for the build, maintenance and assurance of the TELUS network, we are driven by our customer\xe2\x80\x99s first culture and our mission is to deliver world class network reliability to our customers.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a vital role in running B.C. Inside Plant day-to-day operations of our wireline network. Based in Kelowna, Penticton, Nelson or Cranbrook:

• You are an inspiring leader who develops and motivates an engaged workforce of Network Technicians in your designated geographical area of B.C. South Interior (including Kelowna, Penticton, West Kootenays & East Kootenays)
• You will build a highly passionate team that will enhance our customer experience, build a highly reliable network, assure the network reliability and drive financial cost efficiency targets
• You will drive business results and enable change as you lead and direct technicians who work on a variety of equipment covering an inclusive assortment of telecom/network technologies
• When emergencies and outages in our network occur, you support your team with swift response and actively work across our organization to ensure a comprehensive response
• You will work collaboratively towards overall customer satisfaction and representing TELUS in the communities located within the geographic region under your support and represent the company as a single point of contact in the region

Here are some of the key activities you will spearhead in driving our business forward:

• Ensure network performance levels, operating costs, cycle times, 7x24 responsiveness, and client satisfaction meet or exceed all targets and expectations in the build and assurance of TELUS network infrastructure
• Support your team in reducing customer-impacting outages, restoring service and delivering contracted service levels
• Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work processes for team members in the areas of service assurance, delivery, fulfillment and provisioning in coordination of client needs
• Build and enhance internal cross-functional relationships to collaborate and drive improved outcomes for our business
• Ensure adherence to TELUS and Safety regulations and procedures
• Cultivate talent by coaching, motivating and inspiring high performance on your team

Qualifications

You\'re the missing piece of the puzzle if you:

• Are known for your people leadership, organizational development and project leadership experience
• Have experience leading teams within a complex technical environment
• Have the ability to effectively assess and mediate complex high-risk concerns impacting TELUS brand, media and customers with seamless precision
• Are recognized for your outstanding interpersonal communication skills, you\xe2\x80\x99ll partner with internal teams to focus on key initiatives
• Display a track record of strategic problem-solving approach with analytical capabilities
• Have process design / implementation experience including implementing cross-departmental process improvements
• Are a self-starter with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, including potentially challenging/conflicting priorities and time pressures

Great-to-haves

• Experience working in a bargaining unit environment
• Degree in Business, Operations, Telecommunications, or related field or equivalent work experience
