Manager, Operations/Directeur des op\xc3\xa9rations Galeries de la Capitale

Scope:

The Operations Manager is a senior building management position, that will lead the Galeries de la Capitale operations team.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, oversee on-going maintenance of the electrical and mechanical components as well as all physical aspects of Les Galeries de la Capitale. Providing direction to maintain and improve the upkeep of the property by ensuring efficient scheduling of resources and sustainable operating practices for the Mall and the Attraction Parc.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations including electrical and mechanical services; renovations, interior and exterior maintenance, cleaning and environmental services.
  • Preparation and implementation of operating and capital budgets for both short- and long-term objectives taking into account lifecycle costing, energy and environmental sustainability and building conditioning profile.
  • Maintain cost control and invoice approval processes.
  • Supervises the maintenance team of the M\xc3\xa9ga Parc rides and ensures that the rides are inspected and maintained according to the standards recommended by the manufacturers.
  • Working in conjunction with Tenant Co-ordination, reviews and approves all electrical and mechanical services with respect to Landlord\'s and Tenant\'s Work.
  • Responsible for the preparation and implementation of an Energy Management and Preventative Maintenance Program and the preparation of reports.
  • Maintain and schedule all environmental and sustainability reports and audits and complete all related reporting.
  • Ensure that all 310-MAXX service level targets are attained.
  • Responsible for the negotiating and administration of operations service contracts.
  • A key team member and liaison for the development of projects and the co-ordination with our head office development team, architects and general contractors.
  • Responsible for developing and training of operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Need to be flexible with working hours to meet the needs of our staff and property.
Qualifications:
  • Good leadership and analytical skills.
  • Training in architecture or engineering is an asset.
  • Completion of Post-secondary technical education is required.
  • Have superior time management skills are critical in order to complete all aspects of the position, including liaising with contractors, tenants and staff.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook and Project Management.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of related operation experience and management experience will be required.
  • Fully competent in all related Health & Safety Legislation.
  • Able to provide great vision, sound judgment, and set goals and objectives that consistently meet expectations.
  • Able to ensure a productive work environment by focusing on teamwork, providing necessary training and development for all staff and leading by example.
  • Must have the background and experience of maintaining and controlling operating budgets.
  • Must be a strong communicator.
  • Bilingual in English and French (to be able to serve our clients in the community)
