What you’ll do
It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key responsibilities of the role:

  • Directly accountable for the development and execution of talent pipeline strategies through the effective use of ATS and CRM tools, job boards, social networks, associations, universities/colleges, formal/informal networks, research business groups and industry competitors to source a diverse candidate pool to meet the talent needs of TJX Canada
  • Develops and maintains partnerships with Talent Acquisition teams to understand current and future hiring needs, define and develop ideal candidate profiles; as well as providing subject matter expertise on sourcing strategies, employer brand initiatives, talent selection and candidate experience
  • Develops strategy and provides direction on employment brand activities including social media initiatives, interactive events, meetups, job fairs and direct sourcing; identifies networking and recruitment event opportunities to promote our brand and job opportunities
  • Responsible for leading and motivating a Talent Acquisition team, providing direction and guidance on project activities; reviews performance, mentors, trains and is a trusted resource to answer questions and discuss best practices
  • Accountable for developing KPI’s and SLA’s, coordinating data analysis and reporting on metrics, developing program and process improvement recommendations that are aligned with the overall Talent Acquisition strategy
  • Gathers and provides labour market intelligence to enable the development of workforce planning and recruitment strategies
  • Manages third party recruitment marketing vendor relationships including budget, positioning and production of collateral, advertising, case studies, featured Associate profiles, and online content that supports the overall global employment brand and employee value proposition strategy
  • Builds succession plans to meet future needs of the TA organization; ensures each team member has a development plan that supports their growth and career aspirations

What you’ll need
To begin your career with us, you’ll have:
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a progressive Talent Acquisition career with a minimum of five (5) years of proven management experience within recruitment in a large corporate organization
  • College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Management and or CHRP designation preferred
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions, revise business strategies to support the vision of the organization
  • Excellent knowledge with recruitment trends/technologies, staffing/employment practices, social media recruiting tools; experience with ATS and CRM platforms
  • Strong knowledge of employment brand strategies and recruitment marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence business partners to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization needs, build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor, including strong interviewing, negotiating, listening, and information gathering skills
  • Demonstrated solid leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner
