Under the direction of the Director of Infrastructure and/or designate, the Manager of Infrastructure Operations will provide experienced operations and facilities management of Metis Nation-Saskatchewan (MN-S) owned and occupied structures and associated staff and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Regional Directors, MN-S inter-departmental leadership, and community leaders to design and implement Metis infrastructure projects, operational plans, and fleet management systems.
Provide expert infrastructure operations consulting services, including business planning, feasibility analyses, budgeting, market analysis, strategic planning, and business advisory services to support effective decision-making.
Mentor, train, and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill enhancement within the infrastructure team.
Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to ensure the successful delivery of projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and clarity across operations.
Prepare and present regular reports on infrastructure health, performance, and project status to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement.
Ensure compliance with internal and external auditing standards, proactively addressing any potential gaps or issues to mitigate risks.
Conduct economic research and analyses to support infrastructure project feasibility, market trends, and cost-effective decision-making.
Engage in the preparation of technical proposals and presentations, effectively communicating infrastructure initiatives and their alignment with business goals to both internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and recommend innovative solutions to address infrastructure operations gaps, driving continuous improvements and operational efficiencies.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with multijurisdictional governments, ensuring collaborative efforts and alignment on infrastructure development and operations.
Facilitate infrastructure development and operations across MN-S Regions, navigating the complexities of regional requirements and ensuring alignment with overarching strategic goals
Contribute to the creation and enhancement of data collection processes within the infrastructure team, ensuring accurate and actionable data to support decision-making and performance tracking.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Post secondary bachelor's in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or related degree
Experience working in construction/project management considered an asset
Minimum 3+ management experience
Strong project management and operations experience
Knowledge and skills:
Advanced skills in Adobe and Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Metis culture.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong time-management skills along with the ability to prioritize daily tasks, organizational skills, and effective decision-making abilities.
Willingness to work within a team environment and independently.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, timelines, and financial requirements.
