Job Description


ROLE FUNCTION AND PURPOSE Cambridge is looking for a motivated Manager of Financial Reporting to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will become part of a high growth subsidiary of an S&P 500 publicly traded company and will gain exposure to global regulatory and financial reporting responsibilities under multiple international reporting standards. You will play a key role with respect to delivering financial results in a timely manner, analyzing complex accounting issues with great attention to detail, and coordinating critical activities with various functional partners. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the accurate and timely execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, as well as other financial and regulatory reporting deliverablesReview monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each legal entity and on a consolidated basisLead the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP requirements and be the main point of contact for internal and external auditorsLiaise with external and internal auditors by addressing inquiries and providing appropriate supports in a timely mannerResearch, analyze and implement new accounting standards as neededReview balance sheet reconciliations on complex accounts that require higher degree of judgement and attention to detailMaintain effective internal controls over financial reporting and ensure SOX complianceDrive continuous improvement by designing and implementing new processes as well as internal controls to incorporate evolving business needs and reporting requirementsMaintain a high standard of partner service quality by taking ownership and accountability on incoming requests and responding with a high sense of urgency to ad-hoc inquiries from senior management, stakeholders, and other business partnersPlay a key role in system implementations, application enhancements, and data migration as needed Lead transformation projects and proactively identify process improvement opportunitiesImplement and execute on identified opportunities for streamlining and automationAssist with acquisition and integration initiatives as neededProvide coaching and guidance to the rest of Finance team members as neededProvide vacation coverage to other areas of the Finance department as requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCECPA or equivalent designationBachelor\'s degree in Accounting or FinanceStrong knowledge and understanding of financial reporting under different accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, ASPE) and internal controls over financial reporting3 - 5 years of experience in financial reporting, management reporting, or other relevant experience \xe2\x96\xa1 Prior experience with an accounting firm is preferredKnowledge of financial instruments and foreign exchange is an assetProficiency in Microsoft Office (with a strong focus on Excel) is a mustTHE IDEAL CANDIDATEExceptional ability and willingness to contribute as a team player in a diverse, fast-paced and deadline-oriented environmentGreat attention to detail to ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial dataOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong ability to multi-task and manage competing prioritiesHigh willingness to learn new IT tools and drive process improvementsStrong willingness to take initiatives and lead projects with minimal oversightSolid ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality and discretion on daily responsibilities#LI-VU1 #INDINT
