Job Description

We are currently seeking a Manager of Financial Services who is an experienced public accounting manager to join our team of our Financial Services Division in our Winnipeg office. Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Shareholders, the successful candidate will be a key resource of the management team, responsible for providing the highest level of service to our clients on a variety of assignments. The candidate will be a member of the management team responsible for overseeing the Financial Services Division. This position will include, but not be limited to: - Planning and assigning of workload over the fiscal year, including a one-year documented plan;
- Review of year-end files (corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship) prepared by team in the Financial Services department;
- Consultation with members of the team to resolve issues raised, where necessary;
- Training of team members;
- Supervising and motivating members of the Financial Services team, including performance evaluations;
- Effectiveness and efficiency of individual team members and department, including reporting to shareholders on individual targets and performance;
- Taking ownership of the client; becoming the first contact with the client;
- Client service activities and special projects as they relate to the Financial Services department; including exploring additional opportunities with existing clients to further growth. Qualifications: - Candidate must hold a professional designation (CPA, CA, CGA) with a minimum of 3-5 years in a senior role in public practice.
- You have strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- You have strong leadership abilities; experience managing a team is preferred.
- You will be responsible for prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and staff within tight deadlines; and
- You are highly proficient with MS Office; CaseWare/Caseview, TaxPrep or similar tax preparation packages. Benefits: - Smart Casual dress
