Manager of Communication and Digital Marketing, YWCA Regina Hours of Work: Flexible schedule based on 37.5 hours a week to meet the demand of the association
Length of Employment: Permanent

Position Description
The Communications and Digital Marketing Manager will have the exciting opportunity to work across all areas of YWCA Regina\xe2\x80\x99s Development Department and the entire organization in this dynamic role. This position will allow you to gain experience and make an impact in Annual Fundraising, Marketing, Stewardship, Events, Social Media, and YWCA\xe2\x80\x99s Capital Campaign. This role will also largely responsible for media relations/communications, and social media management. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Development, the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager will provide support and help to execute varied functions across these departments while managing media relations and social media. Responsibilities Include:
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of a creative and donor-centred communications, such as maintaining public thanks and acknowledgement
  • Contribute to the creation of meaningful personalized communications to donors, including but not limited to Thank You Cards
  • Support or attend third party fundraising events as required
  • Write and/or edit and proofread various communications such as newsletter/website pieces/media releases/proposals/social media content/speaking notes and more as required
  • Communication with other departments/community organizations/stakeholders, to ensure external communications accurately reflect the work our organization is doing in the community
  • Issue internal and external communications such as newsletters and other collateral
  • Produce graphic collateral for use in social media, printed materials, donor purpose, events, etc. either independently or through a professional third-party depending on scope and timeline
  • Create written collateral for the development, marketing, and events departments, as well as all other departments as required, including brochures, cultivation tools, stewardship pieces, proposals, reports, speaking notes, media releases, website content, social media and more.
  • Provide support to our events department in planning and execution of key YWCA Regina events and donor related functions.
  • Manage all external communications of YWCA Jobs, including website, job sites, and social media promotion
  • Administer YWCA Regina website updates independently or with the support of professional website group as needed
  • Act as first for of contact for media inquiries and direct accordingly with content and backgrounder
  • Write and Release Media Advisories and Media Releases for YWCA Regina as needed and with support from appropriate departments
  • Manage Email signature software for organization
  • Monitor and respond to social media messages, comments, and interactions independently or with Senior Director support as needed
Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Previous experience in related positions such as marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, or in fundraising \xc2\xb7 Compelling communicator, applying excellent written and oral communication skills to synthesize complex information into strong written communication \xc2\xb7 A natural storytelling able to create compelling and engaging content for public dissemination \xc2\xb7 Innovative and passionate, out-of-the-box thinker willing to go the extra mile to achieve the highest-possible results to represent the organization \xc2\xb7 Able to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines \xc2\xb7 Ability to maintain composure when managing multiple conflicting priorities for multiple stakeholders \xc2\xb7 Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and analytical abilities \xc2\xb7 Proactive in anticipating needs, identifying potential problems and adept at mitigating risk \xc2\xb7 Exhibits sound judgment and the ability to make reasonable decisions in the absence of direction \xc2\xb7 Works from a feminist, anti-oppressive / anti-racist perspective \xc2\xb7 Experience in Adobe Suite, Canva, and Wordpress, and some knowledge of graphic design would be an asset but is not a requirement Closing Date: February 15, 2023 We invite applicants to voluntarily self-identify as Indigenous (First Nation, non-status, Metis, or Inuit in the cover letter and/or resume.
