Manager of Communications and Marketing Full Time - 37.5 hrs per week
Competitive salary and benefits package The Manager of Communications and Marketing works directly with the CEO in developing and implementing a communication and marketing strategy that increases CIWA profile in the community. The Manager is responsible for CIWA\xe2\x80\x99s internal and external communication, outreach, fostering relations with businesses and community partners, coordination of events, and creation of and updates to agency communication and marketing materials. Additionally, the Communication and Marketing Manager is responsible for overall leadership in the promotion of the agency in the community. This position requires impeccable writing skills, proven copy-editing skills, and experience with digital marketing, web design, event planning, graphic design and desktop publishing. Ability to work evenings and weekends is expected.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in consultation with the Director of Communications and Stakeholder Relations and Senior Management Team in developing relationships with community and corporate partners, promoting the value of immigration and increasing brand awareness
  • Generate content for social media, CIWA website, blogs, newsletters and other distribution channels
  • Coordinate website updates
  • Manage social media platforms
  • Support external communications with media, community partners, stakeholder groups and donors
  • Produce agency collateral (brochures, newsletters, annual reports, flyers, manuals, resource materials)
  • Coordinate the promotion of CIWA initiatives (press releases, online announcements, flyers, newsletter submissions)
  • Supervise and support outreach and business development staff and provide leadership and expertise in this area of agency business
  • Coordinate data entry into Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)
  • Coordinate distribution of CIWA\xe2\x80\x99s resources throughout the community
  • Maintain and regularly update CIWA information in community resources (directories, websites, etc.)
  • Lead CIWA\xe2\x80\x99s outreach committee in creating innovative and collaborative outreach ideas to attract new clients
  • Coordinate and represent CIWA at community/pubic events
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team and various committees
  • Attend and participate in agency events
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications and Stakeholder Relations

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree or Diploma in communications, marketing or other related field is required
  • 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 supervisory experience in a communications or marketing field with strong knowledge and understanding of best practices
  • Expertise in graphic design and certification and experience with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Certification and experience working with web design platforms (Joomla)
  • Experience working with social media management applications (Later)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with extensive experience in writing and editing collateral, reports, manuals and other documents
  • Extensive experience with social media including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube
  • Experience with public speaking
  • Experience in event planning
  • Ability to succeed in a face-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Appreciation and knowledge of cultural diversity/experience working with an immigrant population
  • Highly motivated with a positive attitude
  • Fluency in French is an asset
