About the opportunity
As Manager, Marketing at CPA Canada, you will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to develop and implement annual marketing plans supporting strategic priorities for CPA Canada. In addition, you will manage a portfolio aligned to the CPA profession\'s core aspects to deliver innovative and strategic marketing campaigns to increase the value and performance of CPA Canada\'s offerings to its membership.
What you\'ll do
In this role, you will:

  • Plan, strategize and oversee integrated marketing campaigns (digital, print channels) and related activities (marketing collateral for events and sponsorships) to build awareness and drive engagement of CPA Canada\'s products and services.
  • Analyze all marketing data (across channels and media) to measure campaign ROI (identify successes and trends) and communicate to internal business lines quarterly
  • Collaborate with internal business lines (Research, Guidance and Support, Corporate Citizenship, Education, International, Tax), internal departmental specialists (media relations, social media) and the Member Development and Support department to identify marketing opportunities and ensure accurate brand positioning.
  • Provide leadership and oversee day-to-day activities of one direct report to drive individual and team efficiencies and capacity
  • Manage portfolio campaign budgets

What we\'re looking for
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • A degree in marketing, public relations, communications or other relevant disciplines
  • Minimum eight years in a marketing role with experience in digital and traditional marketing and promotions with previous people leadership experience guiding performance of direct reports
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and ability to lead meetings, build consensus among team members, make presentations and provide relevant updates to internal and external stakeholders on a day-to-day basis
  • Understand and position CPA Canada\'s offerings in a way that resonates with members, stakeholders and other audiences as directed
  • Strategic planning experience is required to assess stakeholder needs, develop an annual marketing plan and create marketing briefs
  • Excellent project management skills are needed to manage multiple projects and deadlines across the portfolio
  • Experience in digital marketing (content marketing, PPC, social media, email, mobile marketing) is required for executing integrated marketing campaigns and analysis
  • Proven analytical skills are needed to monitor, forecast, identify and analylze trends from raw data sets to establish relevant KPIs using programs such as Google Analytics and Google Ads
  • Proven experience overseeing budget and forecast management is required to plan and optimize spending of portfolio budgets
  • Experienced in collaborating and managing work with external agencies as required.
  • Knowledge of membership-based association marketing would be an asset
