We have an exciting Manager, Marketing Planning and Operations (13 Month Contract) opportunity to work in the dynamic environment of Four Seasons global headquarters. They will be an integral member of the world-class team that drives marketing planning and strategy for one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s leading luxury hospitality brands. The Manager, Marketing Planning and Operations will lead Brand Compass, our Centre of Excellence providing strategic guidance and stewardship across the entire Four Seasons network. This includes strategic influence and leadership in informing, educating and governing \xe2\x80\x93 from brand guidance to governance to go-to-market activation and knowledge sharing, among other core pillars.

The Manager, Marketing Planning and Operations will also lead the annual integrated campaign planning (ICP) process for Four Seasons, across Masterbrand, various lines of business, and all hotels worldwide, in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of business goals. This includes leading the development of the full marketing plan, through engagement with all key stakeholders in their campaign planning, as well as being the subject matter expert across key campaign deliverables \xe2\x80\x93 briefing, messaging optimization, integrated channel plans, measurement, and reporting. In addition to Brand Compass and ICP, the Manager, Marketing Planning and Operations will lead the strategy and execution of global integrated multi-property campaigns, as well as spearheading the integrated touchpoints across all Masterbrand campaigns, resulting in strong, strategic multi-channel campaigns.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing:

Brand Compass

  • Lead the new Brand Compass Centre of Excellence streamlining marketing approval processes, enabling stronger cross-functional collaboration, and providing structure and insight to the organization.
  • Championing all core pillars of Brand Compass \xe2\x80\x93 Brand Stewardship, Governance, GTM Activation, Knowledge and Insights, and Brand Development/Partnerships
  • Leading weekly Brand Compass Review meetings, monthly Commercial Sync meetings, and quarterly team connects.
Annual Marketing Planning
  • Manage the annual Integrated Campaign Planning (ICP)) process kicking off in June every year across all lines of business, Masterbrand and the regional teams.
  • Develop the annual Marketing Plan.
  • Partner with the Insights and Brand Strategy team to develop brand themes for consistent and coordinated messaging in market, laddering up to masterbrand positioning.
  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for campaigns, ensuring strong briefs are created for media planning and creative, as well as ensuring all touchpoints are considered for activation.
  • Identify integration opportunities across lines of business and regions and facilitate collaboration across key stakeholders.
Integrated Campaigns
  • Lead the campaign development from start to finish for global integrated multi-property campaigns, inclusive of brief writing, creative reviews, integrating the messaging across all touchpoints / available channels, and producing the measurement wrap report.
  • Lead the integrated campaign plan for all Masterbrand campaigns.
KPI Measurement
  • Develop consistent tools and cadence for campaign measurement, leading for Masterbrand and global integrated campaigns, and consulting for all other campaigns.
  • Continue to refine the KPI framework based on learnings to support all lines of business in objective-setting.
Program Roadmap and Capability Building
  • Lead enhancements to the process to service all areas of the Four Seasons business, including at the local hotel level.
  • Manage the roadmap to strategically advance Four Seasons Marketing capabilities, inclusive of all elements of campaign planning and the overall brand marketing function.
What You Bring:
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a corporate marketing communications or agency function.
  • College or University degree, preferably in a business or marketing communications program. MBA an asset.
  • Previous management experience in a consumer marketing communications role.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required to support a diverse team of employees, consultants and agencies.
  • Strong computer skills in a PC and Mac environment including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Photoshop and InDesign an asset.
  • Adept at learning new applications
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, manage and train others.
  • Experience influencing key stakeholders and making strategic recommendations grounded in business objectives and key results.
  • Ability to deliver key results in an environment with multiple tasks and time constraints.
  • Excellent project management skills - able to implement and lead a process and stay committed to deadlines.
  • Ability to think critically and evaluate best possible solutions and procedures.
  • Able to work independently, solve problems, take initiative, and use good judgment.
  • Well-organized, able to set priorities and be detail oriented.

  • Experience in managing marketing and media agencies and consultancies.
  • Global marketing experience for a leading consumer brand an asset.
  • Highly results oriented with experience delivering key results.
