The position is responsible for providing consultation across the enterprise in order to determine the most effective approaches to meeting learning needs. This includes design and delivery of learning solutions as well as vendor management and customization of existing programs. The incumbent will work collaboratively with their colleagues, HR Business Partners, business leaders and the broader OMERS and Oxford learning community.As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:End to end design and delivery of learning solutions and curriculum for a variety of teams and functionsConduct needs assessments with HR business partners and business leaders to understand learning needs and capability gaps in order to recommend appropriate learning solutionsAssess and update existing learning plans and conceptsDesign and develop curriculums, courses, programs and learning journeys using standard instructional design tools, processes and methodologiesIdentify and incorporate new and contemporary approaches to learning and trainingDevelop instructionally sound, interactive, and engaging learning journeys, courses, job aids, webinars and e-learningAs needed, facilitate sessions and conduct presentations to all levels of the organization while incorporating best practicesPartner with other learning & development professionals across the organization managers, the Leadership and Team Development Team, the Workforce Planning team and HR Business Partners in order to take a broader view of capability gaps and learning initiatives to determine the highest priorities and most effective approaches across multiple teams or functional areasIdentify efficiencies in cross department and cross functional learningDefine and analyze learning metrics against business outcomesBuilding and maintaining strong working relationships with HR business partners, enterprise learning community, and business leadersMaintaining content and optimizing use of our Learning Management SystemCoordinating and facilitating a collaborative global learning communityTo succeed in this role, you have:5-7 years working experience in a comparable HR or Learning and Development related roleExperience leading projects from end-end while meeting tight timelines and managing multiple initiativesProven collaborator with Learning/HR colleagues on initiatives that impact multiple stakeholders and teamsStrong consulting experience with HR business partners and senior business leadersPost-secondary degree and/or the equivalent combination of education/experience/trainingWorking knowledge of adult learning and instructional design processes and theoriesDemonstrated experience facilitating and delivering trainingExperience with a variety of learning vendors and vendor managementExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make recommendations based on analysis.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and a Learning Management System (Workday is ideal) is requiredExperience or exposure to Degreed, Easy Generator, Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or similar other e-learning authoring toolsOur story:Founded in 1962, OMERS is one of Canada\xe2\x80\x99s largest defined benefit pension plans, with $128.6 CAD billion in net assets as of December 31, 2023.
