The Manager, Internal Communications supports the execution of internal communications strategies across DP World's Canadian operations. This role ensures consistent, effective messaging aligned with corporate priorities and values, contributing to employee engagement, alignment, and culture. Working closely with the Americas regional team and internal stakeholders, the Manager is responsible for managing internal channels, producing content, coordinating internal events, and enhancing communication processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Support a collaborative communications culture across Canadian terminals and corporate functions by coordinating activities with cross-functional teams and regional counterparts, and recognizing employee and team accomplishments.
Assist in developing and executing internal communication strategies and storytelling themes that reinforce DP World's brand, values, and business priorities, including planning for major initiatives and campaigns.
Draft, edit, and publish content across internal platforms (e.g., newsletters, intranet, employee updates) while ensuring consistency with visual and editorial standards.
Manage internal communication tools and platforms to ensure accessibility, usability, and relevance; work with technical and regional teams to improve content delivery efficiency.
Coordinate logistics and materials for employee engagement events such as town halls and safety days.
Track and analyze engagement metrics, prepare KPI-based reports, and recommend improvements to enhance effectiveness.
Promote continuous improvement through innovation in internal engagement methods.
Support crisis communication preparedness and assist with urgent or sensitive messaging.
Knowledge & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in internal communications or a corporate communications environment.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Experience coordinating events and managing content across digital communication platforms.
High attention to detail, organizational ability, and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable working in a matrixed and dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with internal social media platforms and communication analytics tools is an asset.
Fluent in English.
