YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, Mining, you will be part of the Mining Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.


Oversee production planning and monitoring, including reviewing daily reports, scheduling maintenance, and maintaining detailed records of equipment performance; Manage incident and accident response for the mine, crusher, and process plant, coordinating with internal and external technical support as needed; Manage and optimize inventory levels for various materials, including ROM stockpiles, crushed ore, waste, and refeed. Coordinate efficient ore rehandling between ROM stockpiles and the crusher; Leverage data analysis to provide strategic and tactical recommendations, manage analytics projects, develop new reporting tools, and identify opportunities for process optimization; Identify and implement process improvements for the mine to enhance efficiency and productivity; Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to effectively address and resolve production disruptions, manage peak power requirements, and participate in key planning meetings to ensure seamless operations; Coordinate with internal or external third-party technical support; Participate in Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly review meetings; Lead reviews and monitors cost and schedule implications of changes, providing timely advice on impacts and maintaining project trend and change order log; Exhibit team leadership skills, integrity, interpersonal understanding, and self-confidence; Accountable for implementing and continuously improving the Integrated Operations Process at Detour Lake Mine; Review production and status reports, providing recommendations to the IOC team; Review integrated execution planning and scheduling activities; Manage and provide data-driven strategic and tactical recommendations to the IOC team; Provide support in the management of site incidents and accidents; Identify and implement process or equipment improvements to optimize production; Manage value stream inventory; Coordinate IOC activities with other departments to identify, resolve, and manage any production changes; Maintain production and maintenance log and produce IOC report; Coordinate technical support for IOC systems; Provide support for IOC administrative duties; Conduct rotation handover meetings.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Business Administration with relevant experience; Minimum of fifteen (15+) years of experience in planning, scheduling, and operations leadership; Minimum five (5) years' experience associated with engineering, operations, and project management for mine operations or infrastructure; Apptitude and knowledge of: Project controls principles, scheduling, planning and incident management; Proven commitment to health, safety, and environment; Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Team skills; Excellent computer skills, in particular Excel; Experience in change management and influencing without authority; Working language at Detour Lake Mine is English; French is an asset but not a requirement.

Your Work Schedule:

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 10 hour days; Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
