Job Title Manager, Intake & Governance (Automation)



What is the opportunity?

As an Automation Intake & Governance Manager in RBC Capital Markets, you will assess, research, analyze and document sponsor/stakeholder needs in relation to Capital Markets Business and Client Services\xe2\x80\x99 projects with emphasis on RPA (Robotic Process Automation). This role will assist in assessing viable automation opportunities, prioritizing those opportunities within a dynamic Book of Work, managing stakeholder expectations, providing Program/project updates, and presenting Program/project updates to stakeholders and Senior Leaders.

The successful incumbent would be required to: Investigate and identify automation opportunities within RBC CM BCS; Quickly understand current-state processes in order to assess them for automation feasibility, providing suggestions for how RPA can be implemented to improve efficiency and controls for clients; Filter out technically or economically infeasible processes by gathering baselining information and pragmatically surfacing inhibiters to automation; Qualify opportunities and create high-level business cases with complexity and implementation cost estimations (Cost/Benefit Analysis); Engage program leads of Digital Transformation programs to aid planning or preparation for transformative initiatives; Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.

What will you do?

  • Assist in analysis on projects in accordance with the RBC Project Management Framework (PMF)
  • Quickly understand and analyze workflow processes to determine RPA suitability/applicability
  • Quantify and calculate cost-savings/benefits for automation opportunities comparing current-state to future-states
  • Manage incoming proposals, suggestions and opportunities for RPA in an effective and timely manner to maintain the Book of Work
  • Effectively lead meetings with stakeholders to resolve problems / inefficiencies
  • Manage multiple project tasks and timelines, as well as communicating updates to Program Leads
  • Assist with managing the provisioning of systems\xe2\x80\x99 access and roles for automation deployment
  • Prepare accurate, timely and compliant documents/reports
  • Work closely with Program Leads, Subject Matter Experts and project managers to deliver solutions
  • Achieve and maintain highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Be a technology advocate and share expertise with other team members
  • Be a key partner to the business and the rest of the team throughout the delivery cycle
  • Think through challenging and interesting problems and solve them with your team
What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must Have
  • An Agile mindset and team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent presentation skills (including deck creation)
  • Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Finance, Engineering, Science or Math desirable
  • Experience with application of automation techniques and concepts such as Robotic Process Automation
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and/or RPA Development Lifecycle
  • Experience in assessing key business processes and documentation of process flows
  • Experience in business and/or process analysis as well as optimization and streamlining
  • Self-motivated, able to work and learn independently
  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Ability to facilitate the gathering and analysis of key business process needs and toolset gaps
  • Good working knowledge of Capital Markets operational functions and processes
