What You Will Work On




Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the successful applicant will be responsible for the planning, implementation, maintenance, and security of all information systems within the organization. This role ensures that technology solutions support the delivery of high-quality resident care, meet regulatory and privacy requirements, and align with organizational goals; ensures a high level of user, infrastructure, and application support; manages the relationship with vendors, including purchases (hardware, software, and services) and service management; leads and participates in projects for the design and improvement of IT services/equipment; contributes to the enterprise IT strategic plan and manages IT budgets in alignment with organizational goals and priorities. The Manager serves as the primary liaison between clinical, administrative, and IT functions, ensuring efficient system operations and data integrity.

How You'll Create Impact



Developing, implementing, and maintaining IT strategies, policies, and procedures that align with organizational goals, financial documentation, and MOLTC regulatory requirements. Overseeing the administration, maintenance, and support of all IT systems - including EHRs, payroll, scheduling, and communication platforms - while managing networks, servers, hardware, software, and telecommunications for reliability and security. Directing day-to-day IT operations, ensuring optimal systems performance, data security, network integrity, and compliance with privacy and safety standards. Planning and managing system upgrades, maintenance schedules, IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely project delivery. Implementing cybersecurity safeguards, conducting regular audits, and ensuring compliance with PHIPA, OHDP, LTC regulations, and other data protection laws through policies, risk assessments, and recovery plans. Leading IT projects involving new system implementations, integrations, and upgrades; coordinating design, acquisition, and maintenance if IT systems with internal teams and external partners. Providing end-user training, technical support, and clear communication of technical concepts; proactively assisting users and promoting digital literacy across departments. Supervising, developing, and retaining IT support staff, fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement. Staying current with industry trends, recommending beneficial technologies, and collaborating with management to enhance reporting, analytics, and business processes for informed decision-making.

What Are Your Skills and Experience



Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT management experience, preferably within healthcare, long-term care, or another regulated environment. Experience with healthcare information systems (e.g., Point Click Care, Med e-care, or other EHR systems used in LTC). Familiarity with Ontario healthcare regulations, including PHIPA, PIPEDA, and LTC standards. Proven experience managing network infrastructure, servers, cybersecurity, and system integrations. Experience managing IT teams, vendors, and budgets. Certification in ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft, or PMP considered an asset. Project Management experience.

MUST be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer.
