Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is a 315-bed academic and teaching hospital that provides specialized mental health, addiction and geriatric care. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, we serve some of the most complex and disadvantaged individuals in Ontario and are the sole provider of high-secure forensic mental health services in the province.


The Director Health Systems Integration and Ambulatory Services is currently seeking a Manager, Health System Integration & Partnerships. This newly created role will assume responsibility forthe efficient and effective operations of the Health System Integration department, oversee program delivery, as well as the development and maintenance of strategic system partnerships. This position will be responsible for working collaboratively to manage, coordinate and support health system tables/committees, working groups, and oversee a variety of strategic and partnership projects and activities to advance the implementation of integrated care.


Please Note: This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. Office location is 500 Church St in Penetanguishene, ON

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:



Directs the day-to-day work of the integrated care and partnerships activities and engage with senior management to establish priorities. Provides direction and leadership to direct reports, including scheduling, hiring, orienting and training of staff; determination of performance standards and conduct of performance reviews; managing a broad range of employee matters. Provides direction, coordination and leadership to all inter-professional staff by evaluation of patient/client care practice and services, researching and promoting the utilization of best clinical practices and acting as a resource and mentor. Provides experience, advice and support to the Director, Health System Integration & Ambulatory Services on a range of issues. Leads financial activities, including developing, recommending and managing a budget and material assets/resources. Facilitates advisory input from system users, their families and key community partners. Acts as Waypoint's representative at key system tables including Ontario Health Teams. Manage relationships between stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met. Monitors and reports on project progress, drafting funding proposals, monitor funding deliverables and ensure completion of reporting requirements. Leads and coordinates the execution of project plans and creates consistent documents to guide project execution and project control. Prepare communication materials, correspondence and other documentation related to projects and reporting which may include proposals, and presentations as needed. Monitor local, regional, and provincial system priorities and opportunities. Promotes positive work environments by role modeling professional behaviour, promoting teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration, addressing workplace conflict and effectively managing change initiatives. Promotes positive labour relations: responding to complaints/grievances, investigating, evaluating, and reporting on client complaints/incidents, identifying/resolving such issues; supporting staff during the investigative process. Manages performance against clearly stated performance expectations, conducts performance reviews including the development of learning plans; monitors compliance with mandatory education; authorizes attendance records, implements Hospital Attendance Support Program; attends meetings; monitors medical accommodation work plans; addresses payroll discrepancies, etc. Act as an advocate regarding quality of life issues in a community, acute, tertiary and/or high secure setting.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:



Bachelor's degree in a health-related field; preference for a Master's degree. Minimum 4 years demonstrated leadership experience, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills along with strong analytical skills. Experience with leading system level strategic partnerships preferred. Demonstrated knowledge in Project Management and Change Management methodology. Demonstrated analytical system thinking skills to gather information, analyze issues, design and implement improved workflows and processes across systems and stakeholders. Collaborative leadership skills and strong relationship building skills to effectively build partnerships and networks to achieve results. Preference for experience with budget management, business case preparation, and developing cohesive teams. Results-oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results. Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills along with strong analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to adapt readily to change with strong organizational and planning skills. Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values, and reflects an optimistic attitude. Preference for proficiency in French/English language.
