The opportunity

We are seeking a Manager, HR Information Systems to join our People Analytics & Systems team to lead and support ongoing design, configuration, security, and reporting for our Workday enterprise-wide HR System.

This individual contributor role is a critical part of our larger People & Culture team and is an opportunity to plan, execute, and ensure successful adoption of the twice per year Workday releases as well as implement new and enhance existing Workday functionality that provides high quality business support while driving process efficiencies.

Alongside colleagues and the AVP, People Analytics & Systems, the successful incumbent will work closely with our peers within Human Resources to meet the business requirements of the organization and ensure Workday continues to support our dynamic organization. Our stakeholders include all areas of HR including Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, Total Rewards, HR Operations and HR Programs. This role will also include designing new or modifying existing reports to ensure we maximize the value of our data. This creative problem-solver must understand and communicate new and existing system functionality and develop and provide user training and procedure documentation.

Key deliverables

CWB\xe2\x80\x99s People & Culture team is in the process of strengthening its People Analytics & Systems team to deliver high quality business support, driving process efficiencies while maintaining a high degree of data accuracy.

Plan, execute, and manage the integrations between Workday and other applications throughout the organization.

Plan, execute, test, train, and implement Workday releases and Workday driven projects or enhancements.

Liaise with IS department, key business super users and vendors to assist in resolving problems that may affect the availability or Workday and its integrations.

Attend vendor conferences and training (virtual and offsite learning) as required to maintain and enhance skillset required to perform in the position.

Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.

Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.

Manage service requests and incidents involving Workday where escalation to Tier 2 is required.

Provide Tier 2 Workday end user support.

Consult with HR and non-HR Workday users to gather feedback and provide recommendations for future Workday enhancements.

Assist in development and maintenance of learning materials and resources.

Work closely with HR stakeholders to support the wider work of HR when required.

Develop short and long-term personal learning goals for continuous learning and development in the areas as identified by incumbent and manager.

Pursue continual learning and development of personal goals to remain current of industry knowledge as well as assist to fulfill the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s and the individual\xe2\x80\x99s succession planning goals.

Successful incumbent

This role requires an analytical intellectual mindset with a deep confidence in their knowledge and capabilities. Expert level understanding of enterprise-wide HR Systems. This role requires strong Workday HCM experience that translates to a People First culture. Working multiple priorities with tight deadlines and mounting pressures from all stakeholders, this focused expert is a fast learner who is resourceful and proactive. Success will be measured by solution accuracy and quality in terms of value add to the business. Professional acumen, communication, influence, and decorum is required to work closely with numerous stakeholders utilizing analysis skills including reconciliation, validation and cleaning for a broad range of audiences. Core knowledge requirements

Post secondary education in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Management/Statistics

CAPM professional designation or equivalent experience working on project teams following PMI project management methodology

Demonstrated experience & competencies

5-7 years of similar roles supporting large HR systems in mid to high complexity technical environments, preference for Workday experience including 5+ years directly engaging with all levels of application stakeholders at all levels throughout an organization

Successful completion of Workday courses for modules supported (HCM Fundamentals, Benefits Fundamentals, Payroll Fundamentals, etc.)

Experience working within a structured service management framework such as ITIL

Strong technical skills (i.e., publishing HTML5, Flash, SCORM, etc.)

Proficiency with developing and managing .xml files

Strong understanding of standard applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

High proficiency in Excel

Strong customer service skills, with patient, positive, customer friendly attitude

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
