Job Overview


This role is responsible for managing and developing Medicine Place Pharmacy Plus Alberta locations, as well as, the development and management of key annual strategic operating goals and objectives for our nursing programs and services. The manager plays a major role in the decision-making processes and often serves as a bridge between the nursing staff, senior managers and executive team. The onsite work is comprised of 50% clinical work and 50% off site and team leadership and management. Emerging issues and staff scheduling often require attention outside of regular business hours.

Duties & Responsibilities



Lead clinical nursing care and oversee team management, scheduling, and performance. Drive recruitment, onboarding, and policy development while ensuring regulatory compliance and budget oversight. Collaborate across healthcare teams and support new site openings and community transitions. Serve as a key decision-maker bridging nursing staff with senior leadership while planning and evaluating nursing activities. Organize team meetings, use management tools, and promote open communication and collaboration. Resolve conflicts and foster inclusive dialogue to ensure all voices are heard across the provincial team. Drive interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver holistic patient care, actively incorporating patient and family feedback for continuous improvement. Uphold nursing quality by setting performance standards, conducting evaluations with HR, and fostering ongoing staff development and mentorship. Provide interim coverage to support operational needs. Provide direct patient care, including administering medications.

Schedule



Core hours are 0800-1600 Monday-Friday Evenings and Weekend coverage based on operational needs

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge



Strategic thinking capability balanced with tactical and implementation/execution skills. Advanced level of initiative and judgment to organize and prioritize tasks, workload, and project management. Supervise where needed and lead the teams to actualize high-quality, safe, and people-focused services and programs. Ability to work non-traditional hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends if needed. Ability to work well under pressure and use strong problem-solving skills to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained. A strong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentiality.

What We Are Looking For



2-5 years of experience in nursing and health program delivery. License in good standing, LPN, RN or NP. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed for business. Proven coaching skills to support team members to reach their full potential.

Physical Abilities:



Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for work-related travel, including transporting equipment and visiting multiple sites. Capable of sitting, standing, walking, and driving for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs as needed. Comfortable navigating various environments including clinics, offices, and community settings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
