Learn more about the opportunities we create for students, employees, and our province at .Position SummaryThis position will report directly to the Director, Fund Development and Alumni Engagement.The Manager, Fundraising will lead the strategic planning and direction of fund development-related initiatives and campaigns for the Fund Development and Alumni Engagement team. In collaboration with the Director, the Manager provides leadership and guidance that will help inform recommendations made to Executive leadership.Position responsibilities and accountabilities include but are not limited to:Fundraising Management and Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with director on fundraising priorities as they align with the Strategic Plan and campaign development. To include development of related collateral materials.
  • Maintain a major gift giving pipeline
  • Mentoring and supporting the work of Senior Development Officers and Strategic Grant Specialist
  • Have knowledge and insight of fundraising trends
  • Working with advancement operations team to streamline processes and maximize opportunities to increase fundraising philanthropic relationships.
  • Collaborating with Alumni Engagement Team
  • Develops and manages the Fundraising portfolio business plan, including development of targets, stewardship, and retention strategies.
  • Participates in Prospect Management System; file timely and appropriate contact reports, recording of proposals, etc.
Team Development
  • Exercises overall managerial direction of the area of responsibility with available resources for the purpose of delivering high-quality service to the College Leadership Team that advances the College\xe2\x80\x99s strategic goals.
  • Provides overall supervision to the Fundraising
  • Recruits and hires staff to meet the changing needs of the
  • Responsible for the supervision, mentoring, performance management and motivation of direct staff to ensure optimal service is maintained:
  • Working with the Director to ensure that deliverables are met and to maintain and monitor the budget.
  • Understand college policy and procedures and compliance of applicable College policy and procedure, government legislation, regulations and guidelines.
  • Participates in and assists with donor recognition, stewardship activities, special events, alumni, and appropriate
  • campus activities.
  • Maintains effective and positive relationships with relevant stakeholders across the College and in the community.
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in nonprofit management or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years proven successful experience in the areas of fundraising and development.
  • Proven capital/fundraising campaign experience.
  • Experience in major gifts, sponsorships, naming, annual giving with a proven success history.
  • An equivalent combination of directly related education and experience may be considered.
