Job Description


Our client is seeking a Manager, FP& A to support it\'s FP& A Department for a 3 month contract.

Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in developing multi-year financial budgets & forecasts by reviewing the organization\'s service delivery as well as the strategic and operating plans.
  • Participate in performance enhancement initiatives, including business process redesign, by identifying possible opportunities for improvement in collaboration with the service delivery area\'s management team members
  • Consult with the Directors to monitor contracts, as well as establishing systems and updating the operations plan/budget to reflect changes as applicable.
  • Conduct reviews and analysis of information such as the operating budget, new/expanded program requests and information required
  • Perform financial and statistical analysis of the financial status of programs within the organization by reviewing workload and financial results in comparison with the budget, profitability, efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinate and provide business support such as operations planning and budget framework to programs by methods such as developing and maintaining an inventory of clinical/operational services, preparing and reviewing proposed operating plan and budget, ensuring new approved initiatives are reflected in the allocations, tracking/monitoring performance of the plan, and identifying variances,
Requirements

To be considered for this contract engagement, you are a designated accounting professional (CPA or equivalent), with 7+ years of solid accounting and financial analysis experience within a large, complex, unionized organization.

In addition, the following skills and experience are desired:
  • Financial and statistical analysis experience in reviewing the status of programs within an organization in comparison to budget
  • Experience in developing multi-year financial forecasts and working with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning and other FP& A tools like Tableau or Power BI would be beneficial
  • Experience with business process improvements
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Solid organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong communication skills and able to talk effectively
  • Strong time management skills
  • Quick learner and managing change
  • Able to look at issues and able to provide recommendations about bigger & better outcomes
  • Strong business acumen and continuous improvement mindset and challenge status quo
