The Manager, Experiential Marketing Activations is the chief subject matter expert and person most responsible for the planning and execution of World Vision Canada experiential marketing activations, including but not limited to WVC presence at live events, fundraising or partnership activations, marketing installations, and other face-to-face engagements with our core audiences.

The Manager, Experiential Marketing Activations provides related consultation and strategic insights for all World Vision Canada internal teams including adherence to fundraising and sales industry best practices, business knowledge, and data insights.

The Manager, Experiential Marketing Activations leads and coaches internal and external execution teams ensuring all activations achieve objectives, measure KPI\'s, and ensure that the vision and goals are met or exceeded.

The Manager, Experiential Marketing Activations works closely with the Director, Experiential Marketing Channels to implement growth strategies for the World Vision Canada face-to-face/activations channel, including developing strategic vendor partnerships, fostering an environment for continuous creativity, and demonstrating a relentless commitment to excellence in how we show up in real life to Canadians.

The Manager, Experiential Marketing Activations works closely with the Director, Experiential Marketing Channels to continuously build, improve, and grow the Experiential Marketing Centre of Excellence capacity and capabilities, implementing strategies, procedures, communications, and systems that support the day-to-day work of our team of experts and how we collaborate with internal cross-functional teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Champion and ensure excellence in how World Vision Canada engages with our audiences in real life, ensuring that all offline engagements, interactions, and communications result in a positive, best-in-class experience.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders by providing strategic insights, direction, and leadership for all desired face to face experiences and marketing activations, including leading execution teams (internal/external) and planning processes, all in alignment with key objectives, KPI\'s, and other desired outcomes.
  • Responsible to develop, monitor and execute effective concepts, budgets, project plans, staffing, reporting, and analysis for all experiential marketing activations. This includes completing key operational and postmortem reports to align objectives and foster continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the overall Experiential Marketing strategy including ongoing ideation, industry research, testing, and pitching opportunities to engage Canadians in our mission.
  • Lead the execution of all aspects of WVC marketing activations, developing project plans through project management processes and Agile principles, ensuring all logistics, staffing, and activation plans are executed with excellence.
  • Build strategic relationships and work closely with third party fundraising, staffing, and support agencies to manage projects end to end, and deliver excellence in execution while ensuring adherence to WVC strategy and brand guidelines.
  • Promote the WVC brand, developing strategic opportunities for revenue growth and brand awareness through marketing activations, while ensuring relevancy and adherence to brand narrative.
  • Demonstrate an infectious passion for the World Vision Canada mission through positive leadership, collaboration, and partnership with all internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications required:
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or Fundraising.
  • 8 - 10 years of proven work experience in corporate or brand marketing.
  • Knowledge of organizational development, business effectiveness, and operations.
  • Experience in strategy development, industry forecasting, management of budgets and KPIs.
  • Advanced communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and financial skills.
  • Customer-service orientation, bringing best-in-class service and experience key audiences.
  • Negotiation and relationship management skills with third party vendors.
  • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as required; some travel within Canada required.
  • Entry level knowledge of Agile best practices.
  • Event Management experience considered and asset.
