Leader Name: Director, Experience Design
Duration: 12 months As ATB’s next Manager, Experience Design, you are a proven leader, with the ability to provide effective strategic direction to a team of Product Designers at a program-level. You’ll assist with building and maintaining a positive team culture; defining and continuously evolving processes for high-impact results. Accountabilities of the role:

• Lead a team of Product Designers in the creation of experiences that align with organizational and product-level strategies
• Work collaboratively with your Product and Engineering Leadership peers on tactical plans to meet business objectives
• Ensure best practices, learned experience and research insights are applied effectively to create cohesive, holistic cross-journey experiences
• Review and provide feedback of team generated artifacts such as flows diagrams, wireframes, interactive prototypes
• Confidently communicate design decisions to cross-functional team members, stakeholders & executives
• Expectations to measure and evaluate team member performance

Requirements

• A post-secondary degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Information Architecture, or related fields are preferable
• Recognized as expert in the discipline of User Experience Design
• Proficient understanding & implementation of Design process
• Empathy for people
• Insatiable curiosity about emerging technologies (& how people could use them)
• Tendency to respectfully question everything
• Skills in human observation
• Ability to visualize & define experiences with a variety of design & prototyping tools
• You embrace agile & lean philosophies
• Effective problem-framing capabilities
• Proven ability to deliver quality solutions under tight deadlines
• You’re comfortable with ambiguity
• You thrive with autonomy
• Able to establish priorities & manage time productively
• Drive multiple, related product areas
