Apply today.As the Manager, District Operations you will manage a group of technical staff within assigned districts and are responsible for operating client and/or corporate owned water treatment, water distribution and transmission, wastewater treatment, wastewater collection, canal and reservoir systems. You will focus on the provision of services to ensure they are provided in a reliable, efficient, and effective manner in accordance with established regulations and internal controls. There is a high priority placed on ensuring a safe and reliable water supply. You will work in partnership with other corporate divisions and promote the corporation with the goal of securing new clients.To qualify, you will have a diploma in Water Resources or similar discipline and Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T) certification. You will have taken Level 1 and 2 Occupational Health Committee courses, and a valid Class 5 Drivers License is required.Certification at the appropriate levels in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Wastewater Treatment must meet the facility level of certification for the district.In addition to the above qualifications, the job requires 10 years of progressively more responsible experience in the following areas:

• Operation of water treatment, wastewater treatment, wastewater collection or water supply and distribution systems including pipelines and pump systems
• Supervisory and People Leadership
• Project and Construction Management
• Working knowledge of Asset Management practices and software
• Budget preparation and management
• OH&S Regulations

Special Requirements: The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
