About This Opportunity


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to further develop and optimize a large supply chain operation. Reporting to the General Manager, the Distribution Center Manager (DCM) will support the 204,000 square foot facility located in our L\'Assomption, Montreal location. The DCM will support and direct the daily operations by managing 6 direct reports and 225 indirect reports. Direct reports include the Warehouse Manager, Distribution Manager, Fleet Supervisor and 2 Technical Service Supervisors. Other responsibilities and opportunities include working with union leadership to develop short and long term strategies, as well as participating in discussions on innovations and operational optimization opportunities. He is also responsible for the Trois-Rivi\xc3\xa8res facility with 7 indirect reports.

Responsibilities


  • Lead all logistics activities to ensure efficient delivery, fleet, technical service and warehouse operations.
  • Full P&L responsibility to achieve OPEX budgets.
  • Maintain complex relationships, requiring the development of relationships while adhering to our policies and practices.
  • Build a high performing team with a strong foundation of integrity, accountability and corporate messaging.
  • Identify, plan and lead the execution of optimization initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders, suppliers and senior management.
  • Ensure that all regulatory compliance standards and facility policies are communicated and adhered to (CNESST safety standards) and ensure its promotion and team engagement.


Qualifications


  • 10 years management experience in a large unionized company preferred.
  • Completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experience required
  • Strong influencing and people management skills required
  • Strong business acumen and presentation skills to multiple audiences, from front-line staff to senior and executive management.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and NESTC standards, and experience tracking and reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Previous experience with SAP is an asset. Experience with Excel
  • Bilingualism required (spoken and written in French and English)
