What you will do

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager, Data & Analytics to lead a cross-functional team responsible for driving the modernization, governance and architecture of our data ecosystem. This role will be pivotal in aligning data strategies with organizational goals, enabling data-driven decision-making, and fostering innovation in data and analytics solutions. The Manager will guide, mentor and coach a team of skilled professionals with expertise from multiple domains, include Data Governance, Architecture, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Observability and Cloud FinOps. Your work will support the foundation of Kinaxis' strategic data initiatives by ensuring the quality and reliability of data pipelines that impact operational decision-making and enabling new revenues streams for the organization. Success in this role will rely on your ability to engage stakeholders, motivate employees, craft compelling data-driven narratives, and influence leadership to foster a culture of innovation and data- driven growth. Key responsibilities include:

Leadership & Team Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of specialists, architects, and engineers to deliver world-class data and analytics solutions. Foster a collaborative environment to encourage innovation, knowledge sharing, and professional growth. Define team objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with organizational goals. Evangelize a data-driven culture within the organization Mentor, train and motivate employees to do their best work Stay up to date on the latest industry and technology trends as they related to your role.

Data Governance & Strategy:

Oversee the implementation of data governance frameworks, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and quality. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish data policies and standards that support business objectives.

Data Architecture, Engineering and Business Intelligence:

Guide the design and implementation of scalable and secure data architectures. Enable the transition of legacy systems to cloud-native solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies. Lead the delivery of world-class data products and business intelligence reports/dashboards that excite our end users.

Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps):

Help define and guide the implementation of data solution that enable cost management strategies for cloud infrastructure, optimizing spending and improving financial accountability. Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to maintain an efficient and cost-effective cloud ecosystem by ensuring that our data products meet the needs of the business.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a key liaison between business units and technical teams, translating business requirements into actionable data solutions. Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership to influence strategic decision- making.

What we are looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. 7+ years of experience in software engineering, or data and analytics roles, including leadership positions in global, high-tech environments. Expertise in data governance, architecture, and cloud-native data ecosystems. Strong understanding of cloud cost management principles and tools. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and observability frameworks. Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including CI/CD, version control and Analytics as Code. Proven ability to manage diverse teams and cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments. Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Certifications in data governance (e.g., CDMP, DAMA), cloud technologies, or FinOps is a plus. Experience with SaaS companies and modern data stacks, including tools like Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Looker, and Power BI. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, SQL) and CI/CD best practices
