Reporting to the Director, Global Digital Marketing & Marketing Technology, the Manager, Corporate Site Strategy is responsible for managing Sun Life's global digital web properties, including the corporate public website (Sunlife.com), intranet and privacy website(s). This involves leading and executing on the strategy and digital experience journey on these websites. It will involve collaborating closely with key global stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver robust, data-driven experiences. The role will adopt Agile delivery methods, including managing the product vision and roadmap and iterating on the experience(s) over time. This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of a multi-site experience and strategy to drive business outcomes. The role requires someone strategic with a strong technical background who can manage complexity and change, develop strong relationships with stakeholders to influence and drive success.

What will you do?

  • Lead and execute on the site experience and strategy for Sun Life's global digital web properties - the corporate public website (Sunlife.com), the intranet and privacy websites, including working with key global stakeholders to develop channel strategies, content strategies, user experience strategies, governance and measurement framework.
  • Provide data-driven site management to ensure we are delivering best-in-class digital experiences while optimizing for search/SEO, content, performance and web accessibility. Leverage digital industry research, trends, best practices, insights, and collaborate with key global partners and stakeholders to plan and deliver continuous enhancement and optimization opportunities across the sites.
  • Define personas, journey maps, information architecture, mobile responsive framework, and align with global brand strategy and design system to deliver impactful brand experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with global stakeholders, consult with them on key initiatives, strategies and operational requests to help meet business objectives and company goals. Ensure a collaborative approach to planning and implementation of future roadmap initiatives.
  • Lead and execute projects aimed at enhancing the corporate public website (Sunlife.com), intranet and privacy website(s). Manage internal and external relationships to ensure successful delivery of projects on time, on budget and within scope. This includes consulting, business cases, project briefs, collaborating with vendors and IT on technical enhancements from business requirements to execution.
  • Establish a global site governance framework and RACI model in partnership with key global partners and stakeholders to ensure consistent, relevant and optimal experiences for audiences that are sustainable over time.
  • Establish a measurement framework and define KPIs to ensure we are meeting business goals and driving outcomes. This includes reporting, monitoring and gathering of insights from various data sources, to identify future optimization opportunities, measure success and ultimately deliver data-driven digital solutions.
  • Create and foster a team environment that encourages others to deliver innovative solutions. Coaching and mentoring junior teammates on daily operations.

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Digital or a related field.
  • 5 years digital marketing experience and experience working for a large enterprise.
  • Solid understanding of digital technology and channels, best practices and trends, including UX practices, Search/SEO and Web accessibility.
  • Experience developing and delivering web content strategy that promotes engagement.
  • Expertise delivering relevant, impactful experiences for internal and external audiences.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and consulting on digital solutions to meet Client/Employee needs/goals.
  • Experience with Agile development and delivery methods. Experience with Waterfall methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience leveraging MarTech solutions, such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), to deliver relevant, robust and compelling experiences.
  • Solid understanding of tools such as Workplace, Workday, SharePoint Online and other Employee collaboration tools.
  • Deep understanding of how to interpret data to identify opportunities, gaps and make key decisions; proficiency with digital analytics/reporting tools.
  • Experience defining KPIs/success measures and developing a measurement framework.
  • Experience developing a governance framework working across a large enterprise with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency with standard business software.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
