Reporting to the Director, Communications & Corporate Services and consistent with the Mission, Values and policies of St.Amant, the Manager, Corporate Communications is a critical role in ensuring the success of St.Amant business and operations. The Manager, Corporate Communications will lead a team of communicators that will help the organization meet its strategic goals and continue to build positive brand awareness and trust by supporting open, transparent, accurate and consistent internal and external communications. The Manager, Corporate Communications will develop and execute a communications strategy that uses a combination of digital and traditional channels to increase visibility of St.Amant, St.Amant Foundation and its various programs, services and events to an internal and external audience. The Manager\'s responsibilities include working with our senior leadership team to facilitate corporate communications internally and externally including our primary audiences: staff, families, funders, donors, media and public. The Corporate Communications Manager will manage a team that represents strong English and French writing and communication skills, basic graphic design, video production and editing and digital content management. Qualifications: Educational:

  • Post-secondary degree in English, communications, journalism, business or a related field
Professional:
  • Minimum three years\' experience in corporate communications leadership
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans
  • Proven success in communication, writing, and editing skills
  • Experience collaborating with key stakeholders at different levels and in different functional roles
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • Driven, self-starter capable of owning performance delivery, and able to execute goals in spite of obstacles
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
  • Ability to read and speak comfortably in French

Duties and Responsibilities: Program Service and Support: Consistent with the Mission, Philosophy and Policies of St.Amant, the Manager, Corporate Communications develops and executes a communications strategy that uses a combination of digital and traditional channels to increase visibility of St.Amant, St.Amant Foundation and its various programs. Quality services are evident when professional communication, timeliness, accuracy, ethical awareness / sensitivity, confidentiality are consistently demonstrated as required by legislation and program/service standards. Duties include:
  • Develops, leads and evaluates an effective internal and external communications strategy for St.Amant, St.Amant Foundation and the St.Amant Research Centre ensuring unified efforts and continuity
  • Develops and manages all external advertising campaigns
  • Builds effective and trusted media relations strategy that responds to media requests and also increases earned media opportunities for St.Amant and St.Amant Foundation
  • Designs and manages press conferences, public events, internal events and any internal/external occasion where St.Amant\'s brand and reputation are prominent
  • Supports St.Amant Foundation as required in above
  • Attends and supports St.Amant Corporate Committees or act as the communications liaison to ensure committee work is well communicated through internal channels, including as an active team member on the Beyond Limits Committee
  • Supports strategic and program project work by developing and implementing effective project communications plans for all assigned projects
  • Supports strategic and program project work by implementing a change management framework with projects that involve large-scale change and/or many people
  • Develops program communications plans and support/coach program and services team members as requested
  • Develops and manages internal communication processes and policies
  • Manages website design and content
  • Coordinates the appearance of all organization print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
  • Manages St.Amant intranet content
  • Manages and monitors social media presence
  • Provides counsel to all program and service areas on marketing, communication, internal communication and public relation activities
  • Assists to ensure that St.Amant\'s philosophy, mission and values are visible and practiced throughout the organization
