If you love music and got excited just thinking about joining this amazing organization, we would love to meet you!Manager, Corporate Communications - 15 Month ContractPosting Closing Date: July 19, 2024The UMC team works four days a week from our creative campus in Liberty Village, Toronto and one day of work virtually.Reporting to the Vice President, Communications, the Manager, Corporate Communications, works with multiple departments at Universal Music Canada to support in planning and executing proactive internal and external communications activities across employee communications, industry events, philanthropy and social impact initiatives, and corporate media relations. The ideal candidate will be a key part of the team responsible for writing, editing, and deploying communications; leading event planning and logistics; monitoring, tracking, measuring and analyzing results; and supporting on specialized strategic projects. You\xe2\x80\x99ll thrive in this role if you have a positive mind-set, a creative and proactive approach, a drive to get the job done (from ideation to execution), and the ability to navigate multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail.Responsibilities:Internal CommunicationsCoordinate, compile, draft, edit, and distribute internal and employee communications including newsletters, reports, company messages, socials posts, and more. Ensure seamless execution by managing deadlines, approvals, translation, publishing, and more.Support on planning and execution for internal company events (from set-up and logistics, to design and execution, to tracking and analysis)Project manage UMC\xe2\x80\x99s internal content program (working closely with creative team)Manage updates to UMC\xe2\x80\x99s internal intranet and UMC\xe2\x80\x99s corporate website (including artist and content updates)Liaise with various teams (creative, publicity, People, Inclusion & Culture) on various initiatives including on-site art program, branded merchandise, and more.Draft, compile, and distribute monthly progress reports for UMCCollaborate regularly with various teams (office services, studio & venue team, marketing, communications, and People, Inclusion & Culture) on events and special projects. Recommend and implement creative and innovative strategies to create efficient processesUpdate and maintain departmental resources (industry lists, subscriptions, etc.), and other administrative tasks as required.Ensure effective metrics are in place for tracking results and effectiveness of internal communications strategies.External, Industry Events + Public AffairsMonitor and report on industry news and company coverageManage approvals process for external / public speaking requestsLead content plan for corporate socials (across select platforms as directed)Work with VP Communications, to support on media relations and outreach (as directed)Coordinate and execute company support of key industry events (across ticketing, event branding, logistics and more)Lead and manage submissions for selected awards and recognition programs to raise profile of UMCProvide administrative support across Public Affairs portfolio for special events, outreach, and industry partnershipsSocial ImpactCoordinate and manage logistics for UMC\xe2\x80\x99s corporate giving program (process and manage invoicing, tracking, recognition, and execution of partnerships and program specifics)Promote and support UMC Employee Matching ProgramContribute to the execution of UMC\xe2\x80\x99s internal Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Strategic Plan, including but not limited to event programming and support; sourcing, drafting, and editing content; executing and reporting on key elements of the plan;Other duties/tasks as assignedRequirements:Relevant experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or public affairs is preferredPositive mind-set, creative and proactive approach, and proven ability to get the job done (from ideation to execution)Excellent organization, planning, and priority setting skills; excellent attention to detailKnowledge and understanding of key media, social media and content creationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Word and Outlook, with exceptional computer skillsTeam player with the ability to contribute to, and impact, team culture and a positive work environmentUniversal Music Canada is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and strongly welcomes and encourages applications from Indigenous Peoples, people of colour, women, persons with disabilities, people who are 2SLGBTQIA+, and people from other diverse communities.
