As a Senior Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Relations, you will help drive employee engagement and enhance the Equifax brand by owning, developing and executing on communication strategies and activities for public relations, employee and executive communications and events. Working within an integrated marketing and communications team and supporting various cross-functional partners, you\xe2\x80\x99ll lead a team of communications professionals, providing strategic oversight and guidance to support business strategy and growth plans.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

  • Design, build and deliver innovative, creative communication tactics and materials for varied internal and external communication channels, ensuring they are well managed, meet business needs and align with business priorities. This includes output such as presentations, email newsletters, posters, video scripts, intranet content, email invitations, event programs, etc.
  • Collaborate with our communications team and events manager to create compelling content and collateral for internal and external events, including employee meetings, executive client events, and executive speaking engagements.
  • Promote executive and corporate thought leadership through digital content channels, while supporting business development and stakeholder engagement through presentations, collateral, and speaking remarks.
  • Communicate the company\xe2\x80\x99s strategic direction, support key business priorities, and advance the company\xe2\x80\x99s reputation through well-designed, strategic national and regional media relations initiatives.
  • Liaise with external PR agency to develop and maintain relationships with key media and influencers at the national and regional level and in monitoring media coverage results for the company and its competitors.
  • Provide consulting to senior management and other levels on media and public relations issues and position company leaders with their respective vertical industry outlets and drive coverage of Equifax.
  • Develop public relations initiatives including campaigns, programs and releases on products, services, events, initiatives that positively position the company with targeted financial, business, consumer and trade media.
  • Lead a team of communications professionals, providing strategic oversight and guidance to effectively support the business strategy and growth plans.
What experience you need
  • 8+ years as a communications professional with progressive accountability, substantial knowledge and expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areas.
  • Bachelor degree, preferably communications studies or marketing.
  • Excellent writing, editing and research skills, with superior knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and style (Canadian Press).
  • Experience coordinating events for employee and executive audiences.
  • Team player who excels at delivering high-quality work under tight timelines while maintaining a positive attitude and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to develop strong business relationships with internal partners and Executives.
  • Ability to convert complex/difficult concepts/information into simple and compelling messages.
