Our team works with multiple partners across Bell to drive our broadband, wireless and media business forward.The Corporate Communications team develops and manages all external and internal communications strategies for Bell, providing leadership on Media Relations, Financial Communications, Internal Communications, Community Investment & Sponsorship, Community Affairs and Public Affairs.We are currently seeking a Manager, Communications to support strategic communications and public affairs initiatives.Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communications: Support with developing and executing proactive communications strategies with the goal of managing key issues and enhancing Bell\xe2\x80\x99s reputation with key audiences.
  • Public Affairs: Support with developing and executing relationship building and multichannel communications strategies to advance public policy objectives.
  • Writing: Develop compelling and creative communications materials, such as news releases, key messages, briefing notes and speeches. With a strong attention to detail, provide superb proofreading and editing services to ensure the team is delivering high-quality communications work at all times.
  • Social Media: Support the development and execution of social media content strategies, including for public policy communications and for the Bell Let\xe2\x80\x99s Talk program.
  • Research and Analytics: Conduct research on key issues and trends to prepare briefs and to inform communications strategies. Develop and manage a communications measurement framework to collect, evaluate and track results; analyze results for strategic insights to evolve communications initiatives.
Critical Qualifications
  • Three to five years experience in corporate communications and/or public affairs, having worked in a fast-paced, matrixed and dynamic work environment.
  • Strong understanding of how existing and emerging public policy issues affect Canada\xe2\x80\x99s telecommunications and media industry.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Superior writing, editing and proofreading capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing and leveraging social media content strategies to amplify corporate messages, engage with audiences and build followings.
  • Experience working on multichannel public awareness and advocacy campaigns.
  • Experience developing and executing proactive and reactive media relations strategies.
  • Strong understanding of traditional and social media monitoring with a focus on analyzing and uncovering trends and insights to enhance communications and public affairs programs.
  • Excellent project management skills, including developing and managing work plans across different teams.

  • Strong understanding of the latest trends in social media and emerging technologies that affect corporate communications and public affairs.
  • Stay up-to-date on evolving economic, political, regulatory and social issues that affect Bell\xe2\x80\x99s business across the country.
