Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence and Data Science, the Manager of BI Development leads a team that designs and implements ELT/ETL processes, provides data solutions that are critical to the Business, and supports existing solutions through enhancement and evolution. The Manager will play a key role in implementing our strategy of data democratization within Eastlink and providing the solutions and support to the Business that will enable this transformation. Fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement the Manager will support our internal partners and the objectives of the Business. A superior leader, mentor, motivator, and communicator, the Manager champions proper ETL design and business intelligence within the organization and actively coaches and educates at every opportunity.

Responsibilities:
Day to day management of the BI Development team, providing leadership, planning, and coaching to the Team.
This role is a player/coach role, where you will provide hands on delivery along with leadership responsibilities
Works closely with the Business to understand their requests, and to identify high value opportunities and define appropriate solutions
Works closely with the Data Architecture Teams when designing & delivering solutions
Communicates with the Business to ensure awareness of the status of their requests
Champions data driven decision making within the Business
Ensures sustainability of the solutions deployed
Is a subject matter expert in the technology solutions deployed within the Team and the Business
Provides data thought leadership within the Team and the Business
Requirements:
At least 3 years' experience in a management or leadership role
At least 5 years' experience in business intelligence, data transformation, data storage and warehousing, data analytics or related fields
Formal training or education in information technology, data analytics, statistical modeling or related fields
A proven background of delivering data driven solutions to Customers, and a track record of success
Experience with cloud data architectures (AWS, Snowflake, Azure, etc.)
Significant experience with modern BI toolsets (Tableau, Power BI, Thoughtspot, etc.) is required
Significant experience with business analysis and requirements gathering is required
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build the trust and confidence of those around them
Proficiency in PowerShell and Python
Excellence in SQL design and implementation
Experience implementing Agile principles and practices is an asset
