Manager, The Grocery people (TGP) Business Development
on a permanent basis on our Independent Business team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and can be based anywhere in Western Canada. This position requires extensive travel within Western Canada up to 50%.

What you'll do:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and convert prospects into clients.
Increase The Grocery People (TGP) brand visibility by attending industry events, conducting market calls, and building relationships internally and externally.
Analyze industry trends and data to identify improvements, lead cross-functional initiatives, and present strategic recommendations.
Set and monitor operational standards, support teams with coaching and resources, and provide leadership through training and performance development.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to align strategies, support growth initiatives, and ensure seamless execution across the business.
Who you'll work with:
The Team:
In addition to direct involvement in business development activities to grow wholesale business, you will lead a team of Sales Leads / Managers to grow sales in their areas of the business and report into the Director, Independent Business. This team strives to cultivate a culture that is collaborative, results-oriented, and client centric.
The Customers:
You will demonstrate customer focus while identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities that strengthen the business.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Business Development and:
Have 6+ years of relevant experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales and/or working with independent retailers.
Have a bachelor's degree in commerce/business (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
