Position Title Manager, Advancement Services
Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study.
  • A minimum five (5) years\' experience in a related field including experience in budgeting, business planning, and day-to-day management of professional resources and employees.
  • Proven high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Effective internal and external relationship management
  • Strong knowledge base of all aspects of fundraising with a strong emphasis on developing donor relationships.
  • Experience with or knowledge of donor research tools and methods
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with an ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong project management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and think critically.
  • Experience with grant proposal writing and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office platforms required
A combination of education, experience, and training acceptable to the college will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive designation is preferred.
  • Experience with donor/relationship management software to track donors, establish goals, and generate reports.

The Advancement Services Department at Keyano College oversees all fundraising strategies and external relations programs as well as alumni, government, and community relations activities. The department works with a wide range of stakeholders and donors and implements programs that elicit support from all constituencies including government, business, alumni and the community-at-large. The departmental objectives support the College\'s Vision and Mission, and Investment Management Agreement. This includes the administration of capital and annual fund-raising campaigns and major gift programs, communications, marketing, public relations, government relations, community relations, stakeholder relations and alumni affairs.

Keyano College is currently seeking a Manager, Advancement. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Strategy & Business Transformation, this position exists to manage the overall function and day to day running of the Advancement Services department. The Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the department, overseeing the administration, financial accountability and donor relations. The Manager also set the tone, manages staff, oversees all projects within the department, collaborates with other peers through the College and the Executive, and provides direction to the staff and the related projects.

Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

What your expertise will be needed for:
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining an annual strategic plan to achieve the fundraising goals of the college including establishing a portfolio of prospective donors.
  • Develop fundraising strategies

  • Build and maintain relationships
  • Manage funding campaigns and events
