Based in Burlington, ON, MMC also has offices in Thunder Bay, London and Brantford and a linens facility in Hamilton. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Manager of Accounts Payable Services to support our AP Services Division. Position Overview Reporting to Director, Accounts Payable Services, this position is mainly responsible for providing support and direction to the Accounts Payable team while contributing to the development of creative and innovative strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategic direction. Key Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Coordinate and monitor the activities of the AP team, responsible for the direction of accounting requirements for the AP Centre and ensuring that policies and procedures are being followed in accordance with accounting standards. \xc2\xb7 Provide support to long-term planning and new member onboarding. \xc2\xb7 Responsible for supervising and supporting the AP Associates and Team Leads to ensure superior performance, engagement and growth. \xc2\xb7 Coach, mentor, motivate and influence accountability for the AP Team\xe2\x80\x99s work as well as coordinate and supervise the orientation of new AP Associates and Team Leads. \xc2\xb7 The incumbent contributes to the annual budget preparation of the AP Centre. \xc2\xb7 Coordinate/complete/develop analysis, reporting, and billing to hospital members and MMC leadership. \xc2\xb7 Liaise with hospital finance & purchasing managers and other external stakeholders. \xc2\xb7 Develop and maintain policy and procedures for AP Centre functions while directing and motivating the AP team to follow best practices. \xc2\xb7 Organizing, hiring, and aligning vacation and assessment of staff and adequate coverage. \xc2\xb7 Support and contribute to other MMC initiatives and projects as required. Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in Business/Accounting.
  • Professional designation CPA or equivalent an asset.
  • 3-5 years professional management accounting or audit experience.
  • 3-5 years progressive management/supervisory experience, conceptual skills, analytical abilities, and mathematical aptitude.
  • Experience in LEAN training and strategies is an asset.
  • Hospital Finance Department experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems and excellent financial analysis skills
  • Ability to provide leadership through vision, values and effective management of resources.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, team building, coaching, and mentoring the ability to initiate and model positive change.
  • Through continuous professional development and a diplomatic leadership style, the incumbent must have the ability to respond to changing environments.
