Job Details: Location: Yellowknife, NT Job Type: Full-time Competitive Wages Benefits Duties: \xc2\xb7 Maintaining the physical integrity of the building through general maintenance and upkeep of the assigned properties. \xc2\xb7 Cleaning and repairing items in vacant and occupied units (minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.). \xc2\xb7 Completing physically demanding work which includes the use of ladders, power tools \xc2\xb7 Applying knowledge of building HVAC, plumbing, electrical & maintain operation of mechanical equipment and machinery \xc2\xb7 Completing preventive maintenance requirements on equipment \xc2\xb7 Keep the maintenance shop in order, \xc2\xb7 Report to the maintenance manager \xc2\xb7 Performs work in accordance with established processes and practices \xc2\xb7 Complies with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection \xc2\xb7 Performs regular facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems monitoring and inspection, preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure facility uptime objectives are met, uninterrupted client operation, and asset integrity of assigned facility are maintained. \xc2\xb7 Provides observations about facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems conditions and deficiencies and provides suggestions for enhancement and repair. \xc2\xb7 Monitors assigned facility by conducting facility walkthroughs, mechanical and electrical equipment, and system monitoring and inspection \xc2\xb7 Maintains troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical building systems and equipment \xc2\xb7 Responds to routine and on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems \xc2\xb7 Records resolution data within service maintenance management database. Ensures work completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements \xc2\xb7 Receives, tracks, monitors and reports status of maintenance and repair work within service maintenance management database. Initiates documents to obtain formal approval of work required. \xc2\xb7 Assists in the implementation of preventative maintenance (PM) program. Ensures that deficiencies are identified, recorded and escalated, and that related documentations are maintained. \xc2\xb7 Participates in and assists with facility-related projects. \xc2\xb7 Ensures the manner in which work is performed is in compliance with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, fire protection, and any other applicable requirements. \xc2\xb7 Maintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required \xc2\xb7 Assists in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through the manner in which work is performed and services delivered. \xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned Position Requirements: \xc2\xb7 High School Diploma and 5 years of work-related experience. \xc2\xb7 Previous experience in residential maintenance or related field. \xc2\xb7 Proven relevant mechanical/electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. \xc2\xb7 General understanding of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. \xc2\xb7 Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively. \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and organizational skills required. \xc2\xb7 Ability to multi-task and remain detail-oriented. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently as well as with a team. \xc2\xb7 Ability to lift up to 50lbs. \xc2\xb7 Ability to bend, push and pull as well as go up and downstairs. \xc2\xb7 PC skills are an asset, e-mail/the web, \xc2\xb7 Experience operating skid steer/bobcat \xc2\xb7 Be proficient in the use of hand tools and shop equipment. \xc2\xb7 Must be computer literate and able to navigate through a BMS system & Card access \xc2\xb7 Provide snow removal labor to all buildings doors ways, walkways \xc2\xb7 Have basic plumbing and pipefitting skills. \xc2\xb7 Valid Driver\'s License with a satisfactory driving record \xc2\xb7 Ability to provide on-call services on a rotation basis & provide good customer service \xc2\xb7 Criminal Record Check Job Type: Full-time Salary: $20.00-$34.00 per hour Schedule:
