We\xe2\x80\x99re hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Newfoundland. Do you have experience and skill in providing industrial electrical maintenance and equipment support? We want to hear from you!

As an electrical maintenance technician, you will collaborate with other team members aboard our Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility, to ensure our electrical systems and equipment are safely and effectively maintained in line with Terra Nova expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Five or more years of electrical experience in an industrial environment
• Interprovincial Journeyman\xe2\x80\x99s Certificate (Electrical) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
• Hazardous Areas Equipment Training
• Working knowledge of regulatory and industry codes applicable to the electrical discipline

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the integrity and perform safe and efficient maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment
• Operate electrical equipment (switching, generator synchronization)
• Identify deficiencies, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment
• Capture data in support of equipment condition monitoring
• Communicate daily electrical maintenance activities and report all accidents, near misses and hazardous conditions

Location and other Key Details:

• You will work onboard the Terra Nova FPSO. Transportation to / from the FPSO is provided from St. John\xe2\x80\x99s, Newfoundland
• As this an offshore position, you will be required to maintain mandatory training and certification for continued offshore work
• The shift schedule is a 21 days on / 21 days off rotation, 12-hour shifts.
• This position is safety sensitive
• Pay rate in accordance with Appendix A of the Collective Agreement between Terra Nova Employers\xe2\x80\x99 Organization and Unifor Local 2121
• Qualified residents of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador will be given first consideration in the staffing of this position
