Coordinate with planners to ensure timely completion of work orders and notifications.
Generate SAP work orders and purchase order requests.
Prioritize and execute preventive maintenance tasks daily.
Ensure compliance with government regulatory guidelines.
Provide troubleshooting support for line shutdowns.
Supervise on-site contractors as needed.
Foster interdepartmental communication.
Participate in production meetings and discussions.
Collaborate with QA to ensure food safety and address quality issues.
Uphold plant safety policies and promote employee safety.
Motivate workers to achieve production goals.
Facilitate weekly startup of production areas.
Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvement.
Participate in the Food Safety Committee to ensure compliance with regulations.
Proactively address equipment failures and conduct root cause analysis.
Maintain and update training records.
Cultivate a positive work environment.
Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
Millwright or Electrician license in Ontario or Engineering degree/diploma.
5-7 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
Class B refrigeration operator certification is preferred.
Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Proactive with problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to pursue additional certifications/licenses.
Adaptability to fast-paced environments.
Knowledge of OHSA regulations.
Familiarity with GMPs and HACCP principles.
