We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Planning Supervisor at our Richardson Port Terminal located in North Vancouver, BC. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this position provides overall leadership to the maintenance department, manages capital projects and provides technical support to operations.
Responsibilities:
Drafts and/or reviews supply and service specifications
Manages procurement and maintains inventory of spare parts and materials
Manages database (assets, BOM, maintenance tasks, parts, etc.) within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Plays leading role in optimizing preventive maintenance program for plant equipment
Coordinates plant-wide service shutdowns, ensure sufficient resources (parts, manpower) are available to complete planned maintenance tasks
Performs supervisory duties, supports recruitment and labour relations related matters as required
Completes other related projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience & Education/Training
Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering Diploma or Red Seal Mechanical and/or Electrical Trade qualification
Minimum two years industrial maintenance supervisory and/or planning experience
Previous procurement and inventory management experience
Previous experience working with CMMS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to read, interpret drawings and explain policies and procedures used in purchasing
Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
