Our Team:
The Construction Field Services Team plays an integral part in the success of Operations by providing construction related services, specialized rebuilds on critical equipment, and help reduce contracting out where possible. Our goal is to help the Plants become safe, reliable, and predictable producers while becoming the Contractor of choice for the Plants. We perform work at all Surface Plants so if you like change, can adapt quickly, and have good interpersonal skills, this is the Team for You!

The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner/Supervisor to join our Construction Field Services Department in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a permanent position.

As a Maintenance Planner/Supervisor you will be accountable for continuously improving the work team performance through effective use of established processes and procedures. The successful candidate will be accountable for Supervising and/or Planning/Scheduling within the Construction Field Services Dept.

Additionally, in this position you will:

• Coordinate and facilitate all required planning/scheduling routines.
• Adhere to maintenance business processes as outlined in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) by using approved systems (SAP, Prometheus, etc.), tools, and standards.
• Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders including superintendents, supervisors, other schedulers, planners, crew members, etc.
• Work with Plant contacts and OSHE Members to complete all safety requirements (ie: JHA\xe2\x80\x99s, PHR\xe2\x80\x99s, SWP\xe2\x80\x99s, Lift Plans, etc).
• Review and promote/reject all new notifications into your work center through the group approval process.
• Ensure work orders are planned with an emphasis on safety and ready to be executed prior to the required end date as determined through the notification. Also, ensure that work order user statuses are properly maintained throughout the lifecycle of the work order.
• Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful execution of the \xe2\x80\x9cwork schedule\xe2\x80\x9d for completion by Required End Date.
• Manage backlog to ensure work orders are planned based on priority and required end date.
• Work within budget, guidelines, and standards. Monitor KPIs and actively strive toward plant targets.
• Ability to effectively supervise, which requires:

• Prioritize tasks.
• Hold the crew accountable for safe behavior, housekeeping, teamwork, and professionalism.
• Ensure planned work orders are closed with proper time confirmations completed.
• Maintain all Crew Safety training requirements.
• Work with a crew to develop an interactive workplace environment.

About you

Education:

• Grade 12 completed or GED equivalency with equivalent experience is required.
• College diploma Possess a College Diploma in Mechanic/Millwright is preferred.
• Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/Millwright certification would be an asset.

Experience:

• The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Planning or Supervisory role.
• Experience in the mining/construction environment in maintenance would be an asset.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and related software products.

Skills:

• Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.
