Chinook Construction in Hinton Alberta, Canada is hiring for the following position:

Maintenance Planner / Coordinator

Based in Hinton, Alberta, coal mining operation looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Maintenance Planner / Coordinator. The candidate must be self-motivated, have good communication skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and Schedule Maintenance: Develop and optimize maintenance schedules based on demand, workload, and priorities to ensure timely completion of tasks. Estimate Costs and maintain budgets: Analyze maintenance needs and prepare budgets for maintenance activities, ensuring efficient use of resources. Coordinate with Teams: Work closely with maintenance staff and other departments to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed on time and to specification. Inventory Management: Source and secure required parts and supplies needed for ongoing and upcoming tasks, as well as monitoring usage to minimize waste. Data Analysis and Reporting: Maintain a comprehensive maintenance database, analyze maintenance data, and prepare reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of maintenance operations, equipment, and processes.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with various teams and stakeholders.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Capability to identify potential issues and develop effective solutions proactively.

Proficiency in Software: Familiarity with maintenance management software (SAP) and proficiency in MS Office.

Typically, a combination of formal education in a technical field and practical experience in maintenance operations is required. Certifications in maintenance management or related areas are an asset.
