You will be accountable for the planning of labor, materials, external services, access methods and equipment rentals for both daily and outage electrical and instrumentation related maintenance activities.Responsibilities:

  • Identify and handle all factors relevant to achieving safe, environmentally responsible and cost-effective maintenance plans
  • Improve resource productivity by identifying planning and execution efficiencies while minimizing costs for the equipment while ensuring that safety is built into every work order
  • Work closely with various teams such as operations and reliability engineering to develop seamless interfaces between functions, to enable the safe, consistent and reliable planning of all electrical and instrumentation related maintenance activities
  • Manage and adjust planning priorities according to a combination of factors such as operational requirements, plant risk, defect analysis, and major event calendar dates
  • Prepare job plans to include the logical sequencing of associated tasks, taking into account multi-craft alignment
  • Maintain and continuously improve job plans and task lists, through analysis of previous work order history, soliciting planning feedback, performing workplace observations, and field walk downs
  • Ensure compliance to all of our relevant policies and standards including the management of change (MOC) process and maintenance business processes and provide input into the development of procedures and standards
  • Be a key member in the integrated maintenance team, working hand-in-hand with reliability engineers, supply chain management, and operations
Minimum Requirements:
  • Five years of maintenance, planning and/or reliability experience in electrical and/or instrumentation based roles, with at least two of those years being hands-on planning experience
  • Exceptionally strong communication and social skills, with the ability to work professionally with others at various levels
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite with working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably SAP)
  • Deep understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts as well as electrical and instrumentation maintenance practices, performance measures, scheduling tools and techniques
  • Proven strong safety mindset and display a preventative and contingency based approach to planning with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Capable of handling several tasks while focusing on quality and completion of deliverables
Location and other Key Details:
  • You will work out of the Suncor Centre Office located at 130 Kelsey Drive, St. Johnxe2x80x99s, Newfoundland
  • The shift schedule is a Monday to Friday, 40 hour week
  • Occasional travel offshore is required
  • Qualified residents of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador will be given first consideration in the staffing of this position
