Position Title: Maintenance ManagerPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time \xe2\x80\x8bPosition Location: CarberryRequisition ID: 30146We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join us in Carberry, MB. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager. The Engineering Maintenance Manager is responsible for effectively planning, organizing, leading, and overseeing the Engineering and Maintenance department. The successful candidate must ensure they maintain a clean work environment with a focus on proper handling techniques and safety.REPORTS TO: Plant ManagerKey Responsibilities of this role include:

• Ensure that the factory operates at the highest possible efficiency at the lowest cost, by proper selection, installation, maintenance, and modification of all equipment/machinery.
• Direct maintenance of equipment and plant infrastructure to meet production requirements and minimize downtime.
• Develop and execute capital projects to meet schedules and budgets.
• Lead continuous technical improvement of the facility, equipment, and production systems.
• Manage the maintenance supervisor and personnel; effectively delegate work assignments and develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities of team members.
• Ensure adherence to safety, food safety, and environmental regulations and practices.
• Proactively support internal and external customers (i.e., Operations, Quality, Safety, Human Resources, etc.).
• Attend required plant training programs per the training schedule. Ensure personnel are properly trained. Develop and deliver selected training programs as required.
• Other duties may be assigned.

CompetenciesCritical TECHNICAL (Function-specific) Competencies:

• Skilled CAD user
• Equipment, processes, and practices used in frozen food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building repair, refrigeration, pneumatics, electronics/instrumentation, robotics, PLCs, and / or programming
• ISO 14001 and environmental regulations
• Safety regulations and practices
• Food safety regulations and practices
• SAP/Meridian tools and processes

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the board of directors.
• Good understanding of math and trigonometry consistent with an engineering background. Must also possess the ability to interpret the fundamentals of budgeting and accounting.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Microsoft Office software

Qualification Requirements:The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering or related field is preferred. The degree should have a primary emphasis in one of the following areas: mechanical, electrical, and / or industrial / structural engineering.
• Including 5 years of supervising and maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Registered Professional Engineer is preferred

• If education preference is not met, will accept skilled tradesperson with Red Seal, plus 10 years experience in supervising and manufacturing maintenance work .
• Experience managing projects, budgets, and a CMMS program.
