Qualifications
Licensed Carpenter.
Minimum five (5) years of related commercial, industrial, or institutional carpentry repair and maintenance experience.
Experience in general carpentry, framing, drywall, and flooring of all types.
Familiarity with best practice troubleshooting procedures and the Ontario Building Code.
Knowledge of a wide range of carpentry systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Computerized Maintenance Management System database applications.
Position requires a valid driver's license and the willingness to travel to various locations within the Board.
Qualifications in other trades would be an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Maintenance & Capital Projects Lead, the Maintenance Licensed - Carpenter is responsible for performing carpentry and general maintenance services. Responsible for performing duties such as assessing, repairing, modifying, and installing new or existing carpentry components.
C.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assess, repair, and renovate existing carpentry components throughout the facilities.
Work with other trade persons to perform renovations inside and outside the facilities.
Prepare design sketches and interpret design plans.
Complete reports and forms as required.
Provide repair budget information to the Maintenance & Capital Projects Lead.
Maintain and repair equipment and tools as required.
Select and purchase materials and supplies as required.
Operation of all tools and equipment necessary to complete carpentry and general maintenance duties.
Use of Computerized Maintenance Management System database.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance & Capital Projects Lead.
