Summary

We are looking for carpenters to join the Hickory Dickory Decks Moncton team!

These carpenter positions with Hickory Dickory Decks involve building custom decks, gazebos and other structures from supplied plans and materials. We are Canadas leader in low maintenance decking therefore most our decks are built using composite and PVC materials. This is a full-time seasonal position that will extend from approximately March-December each year.

Responsibilities

Build custom decks and outdoor structures Perform framing, decking, railing, and roof construction Work with building inspectors and handle permit requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite Communicate with homeowners throughout the project Assist with material take-offs, ordering, and delivery schedules Strong knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Previous experience on construction sites is preferred.

Qualifications

Licensed carpenter (or equivalent experience) 5-10 years of construction or carpentry experience (all experience levels welcome to apply) Must supply own tools required for deck construction Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong communication skills for working with management, customers, and team members Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to take initiative Self-motivated and detail-oriented Able to read and interpret plans and blueprints accurately Good math and measurement skills Strong work ethic and commitment to company growth Works well independently or as part of a team
